When it comes to hair removal methods, we tend to believe that the humble epilator is highly underrated.
Unlike shaving, waxing and laser hair removal, how much do you really know about epilators?
Let us educate you…
Epilators utilise multiple tweezing mechanisms to pluck large sections of individual hairs (some as short as 0.5mm), and because of this they can extend the time in between hair removal sessions by up to four weeks.
Why? Because it takes hair longer to grow when the root of the hair follicle is removed. Plus, pulling the hair out from the root helps to gradually thin hair growth over time too.
Modern epilators also come with multiple attachment heads, which means you can use them on multiple areas of your body (yes, even your bikini area and face).

Maybe I should get one!
I love mine ♥
I had one of these many many years ago, I am sure they are much better now
Hope so!!
Tempted to get one
I have to say that I am just fine using my husband Phillips shaver on my legs and Nair for other areas.
I used to epilate but now I’ve moved to the Bleame crystal eraser, which I love.
Still on the fence about these.
I loved my epilator & used it for many years until I got an IPL device, which I love!
just got to remember to use it
I don’t use one. I’m not a hairy person so I don’t have to do hair removal very often.
I think I am lucky because I also am not a hairy person.
I dunno, I’ve tried a couple of epilators. They didn’t really work and hurt a lot.
Great price for the Braun Silk-épil 9 Epilator at the moment.
I’ve used a Braun Silk-epil epilator for over 10 years now – I’m onto my second one. I’d recommend it. In between I tried a Phillips one (cheaper, on sale) but didn’t find it as good so have returned to a Braun
I do love to intermingle my epilator with my shaver and little home-ipl
I love my Braun epilator, i use it every month! I thought its old fashion and everyone just shaves now
I found they are easy to use but painful.
I haven’t used an epilator in years, this article has taken me back
I had one but they only worked well on dark hair -Have they improved ?
epilators hurt so much but the results are good and last like waxing
