At the BeautyHeaven Best in Beauty event we received the Revlon illuminance serum concealer and it couldn't have come at a better time as I had been needing a new concealer. I liked the sound of a serum concealer because it would not only hydrate the skin but would help to brighten and even out the skin whilst still feeling lightweight. It provides coverage but doesn't look or feel heavy or caked on. You can use it for your under eyes to brighten the area but it's also good for covering up blemishes. It is easy to apply and also blends nicely into the skin.

The Revlon Illuminance Glow Filter is a four in one makeup product that helps to give your skin a natural glow. The product is applied with a doe foot applicator which I actually liked because you could be precise with your application and then blend it out with a makeup sponge or brush. It does blend into the skin really nicely and in the bottle it does look pigmented but when you apply it the colour is very sheer creating a very natural, minimal makeup look which I actually really like. It's good for those "no makeup" makeup days. It adds a nice glow without making your face look oily or greasy. You can wear it on its own, as a base for your foundation or after your foundation to add some extra glow to certain areas of your face.

The Plantur 39 photo caffeine shampoo is meant to be for hair over forty and those with fine, brittle hair. I'm not forty nor do I have fine hair. My hair is more thick but it can definitely be brittle especially with the heat styling that I do. With that said, I still think this is a great shampoo even if you technically don't fall within the categories it's advertised for. It smells great and lathers really well which I personally like because if I'm washing my hair I want it to lather to ensure it's getting a good clean! The shampoo leaves my hair and scalp feeling really clean, removing impurities and build up without feeling dry or like it's lacking moisture.

I like my conditioner to soften, detangle and smooth my hair whilst also providing hydration and minimising frizz without being too heavy or greasy. The Plantur 39 Caffeine Conditioner has a citrusy scent and a creamy texture that is meant to help those who have coloured and stressed hair. I read the directions which says to leave it in for 30 seconds. I left mine in for a couple of minutes before washing it out because I wanted to get the full benefits of this conditioner. After washing it out I didn't notice a huge difference. The good things about the conditioner was that it didn't leave any residue nor did it leave my hair feeling heavy. The downsides were that it wasn't as hydrating as I expected and it didn't do much to soften and detangle my hair.

Cleansing oils are great to use as part of a two step double cleansing routine. I've been using oil based cleansers for awhile even with oily and acne prone skin. The Bioderma cleansing oil comes in a 150ml bottle and when you first pump the product out it looks like an oil but when you mix it with water it emulsifies and turns into a milky texture. I applied it on my face to help wash off the sunscreen and makeup I had on. It's very gentle and despite being an oil it doesn't feel greasy nor does it leave any residue behind. Some cleansing oils might have a bit of lather but this one does not which is why I find that this works much better with a cleansing cloth. This is a very gentle cleansing oil and is suitable for all skin types.

The John Frieda frizz ease serum is a product I have been familiar with for many years now. I remember my mum using this all the time to hydrate her hair and manage the frizz. The frizz ease serum is said to be extra strength which will help with hydration, shine, heat protection and of course taming frizz. It is called a serum but it's definitely an oil which actually feels quite thick. I would recommend starting off with a small amount and then adding more if necessary. My hair is quite thick and I used it on the middle and ends of my hair which gets very dry and frizzy. It contains three different types of oils: coconut, moringa and argan oil. You can use it on damp hair before styling and on dry hair to add shine.

When it comes to intimate areas it's really important to use a gentle and safe wash. The Dr Wolff's intimate wash lotion comes in a 200 ml bottle and is great because it has a nice lather whilst still being really gentle. The cleanser is mild and won't disrupt the pH which I would say is essential. It has a nice scent and it contains chamomile and lactic acid. I can feel confident and comfortable knowing that this intimate wash won't cause any irritation, stinging or dryness. I am really happy with the product and would recommend it for anyone looking for a gentle yet effective intimate wash.

Thanks to the Best in Beauty event at BeautyHeaven I received the Remington One dry hair dryer. It is a sleek and modern looking hair dryer that will dry your hair very quickly. It says that it can dry your hair a lot faster because its air speed can go up to 120km! My hair is quite thick so it can take a long time to dry my hair and this blowdryer managed to do a good job. I like that it's not too heavy so it doesn't hurt my arms when I have to hold it up. The barrel is shorter compared to other blow dryers I have used but it's not an issue. It also comes with different attachments which is great depending on the hairstyle you want to create.

At the recent Best in Beauty event at BeautyHeaven we received the Lonvitalite platinum contour roller. It comes beautifully packaged in this box and the roller itself looks really luxurious! It is a silver colour and it has two rollers which you use on your face to help with circulation and also minimising puffiness. I have the Manicare roller at home which is almost identical to this one. The only difference is the colour and the fact that the Manicare facial roller is battery operated. This is a good way to massage your face and increase circulation. I used it on clean skin and after using my skincare products to see if it would make a difference. Overall, it's hard to say if it has made any difference in the appearance of my face but it does feel nice.

The Dermal sensitive skin lotion is great at hydrating and softening your skin without causing any irritation. I have dry skin on my hands and legs and I also have eczema. I have to be careful about products that I use as it can cause my eczema to sting, burn, itch and feel worse. This lotion is great because I can use it without having to worry about my eczema flaring up. It is moisturising and gentle, won't leave any residue behind nor does it feel heavy or greasy. It's the perfect lotion to use all over your body.
