Im almost 40 but I dont think of myself as getting “”old””, and I still feel young. As each birthday comes I dont go into a panic of OMG Im getting old. It really doesnt bother me! 40 is the new 20 anyway, so they say!

I like to keep a healthy mind and spirit. That reminds me, I should do some mind de- cluttering , I`m getting a build up coming close to Chrissie!!

I must admit that I did freak out a little about turning 30. I`m over it now. I think it was more to do with what I believe I should have done with my life at this point of my life rather than the age. I do try to look after myself and try and have a healthy lifestyle. It`s nice when people think you look younger than your age.

I recently looked at photos of myself last year and I look dramatically younger and I thought, huh? then after checking the date, I realized Id had botox done for the first time. What a difference!

It may have had something to do with trying to keep a partner interested for fear of losing them to a younger (more fertile) woman. I dunno, anyone a historian?
Good on you Anita, I don`t intend on buying half the muck those old actresses try to push people so that their skin doesn`t bruise like those tomato ads!

I am 35 and proud of it but all of my ageing seems to have happened over night and I am not happy haha. I think you need to do what makes you happy. I had a friend try to tell me I needed botox when I turned 30 before I even had any fine lines. I was offended. Now I have the fine lines I still don`t want botox but it doesn`t stop me searching for the miracle cream. I am lucky I don`t have any grey hairs yet but when I do I know I will dye my hair. I will still be proud and honest of my age just not into grey as much as blonde, brunette, burgundy ect.

Well I`m 36 and am loud and proud of it – 1 of my youngest friends is 19 and we seem to just click…my 2 closest friends are 33 and 24 and age never comes into it, we are really good mates with heaps in common…I will admit I do dye my hair and try to take care of my appearance and down the track if I feel the need to I may get some sort of enhancement, what Im trying to say is that I wont rule it out…everyone is unique and should age however they feel comfortable………………Good for you Anita

I must admit that I used to worry about getting “”old””. I think that always having younger friends and boyfriends/husband hasn`t helped, in the way that I really notice when I`m becoming a certain age, and those around me are so much younger (closest friends are 6-8 years younger). Must say I`m not so fussed about it anymore, being 33 now, 40 and 50 doesn`t seem old, especially seeing what my Mum does at 52.
It`s so great that you are proud of your age, Anita07!
