Who knows much about ebay??

What is to stop sellers on ebay creating a dodgy account and increasing the bid on their items every time someone bids on something? I have noticed something that looks EXACTLY like this on some products I was checking out on ebay recently. It is weird coz the same username has just so happened to increase the bid on all items that had a bid from the same seller, but yet didn’t bid on any of the other items only ones that had existing bids. Plus those bids were the total of their bidding history, so they just created the account to bid on those items from the one seller, sounds suss to me. Its pretty cheeky I think, can we dob them into ebay? I guess it would be hard to prove, but I suppose at the end of the day it would be their loss if they increase it too much that nobody else bothers to bid any more, lol. Makes me slack to bid on ebay for anything I guess that is why I normally just stick to buy it now products, lol.

im thinking of selling my clothes, they are still in good conditions and only about 1 yr-ish old. Just getting an opinion from here, how much do u reckon i should sell them for and do u reckon women will be interested?Obviously will put piccies as well…I just have lots of old clothes, either i get bored of them or they are too big for me since i’ve lose weight

If they don’t sell, you could always donate them to the Salvos! I always donate my old stuff to them, they definitely need all the donations they can get. Plus, thanks to them I got Christmas presents when I was a kid, haha, so I feel like I should give back!

YEah, am thinking of that too. Thank you

Make sure your clothing piccies are professional looking 😉
I have a friend who puts the clothes she wants to sell onto one of those shop model thingy and takes the picture with a expensive pro camera. She reckons people are more willing to buy stuff with good piccies.
But i don’t know, never sold anything via ebay :L

I think i kinda agree. Because i would probably buy something that;s taken professionally, or at least worn by a person than mannequin. cos even one can look good on mannequin, but not on a person.thanks!

Make sure you consider the costs of postage. I have sold on ebay a couple of times and have been shocked when I go to post and realise it is actually COSTING me to give my clothes away and i’m working at loss. The postage costs are steaper than I expected so make sure you have a look into that !

I have only sold on ebay a couple of times, you have to take into consideration the fees involved so you need to either opt of a buy it now option or go with the bidding, but if you go for bidding you will have to start off at a price that you are happy with, coz there is the chance that they will sell at the starting price. Also even if they don’t sell you will still have a small amount of fees. I did mine with a buy it now option and enabled the best offer as well, thankfully the couple of times I have added products they have sold 🙂

Yeah am just thinking with buy it now option instead of bidding, just wanna get rid of them quickly as i have lots of stuffs.lol. not sure how much to put on as shipping fee though…

I have attempted to snipe a product when someone else is at it too. You just have to time it so you still have enough time to quickly place another bid incase that happens! It always happens with the things you want and need the most!
