Websites for free pdf ebooks???

Hi everyone,

I’ve been searching the net for free ebooks but only seem to find one or two websites with not so famous authors, or at least not the ones I’m looking for.

So far I can only post one website here:

http://manybooks.net/

Also, I’m only interested in the ones you can download as a pdf without the hassle of having to download a special software.

Does anyone know other websites?

Thank you in advance!

There are a lot of older books where the copyright has expired and they`ve been manually typed or scanned and are mostly available as plain text downloads, which don`t even need acrobat reader. They can be read on a web browser or word processor. There are some that are .pdf files, but I think that`s mostly where the pages of the original document have been scanned rather than just being text.

It`s called Project Gutenberg, in memory of the inventor of the printing press.

Because Australia`s copyright laws used to be more lenient than the USA, this site has far more books available: http://gutenberg.net.au/

    The USA one is: http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page
