Sodawater

I tend to drink a lot during the week. Is it bad for me in any way, like is there a lot of sodium in it? I do drink more water than this but I worry that I may be dehydrating myself with this.
Sometimes I add lemon for a kick.

I`m also a soda water and mineral water drinker 🙂 I didn`t think many others drank Soda water. I also tend to feel a little dehydrated after soda water, so I try to limit it a bit, I don`t think I have a problem with my sodium intake- but you never know! If you start to feel sick like glittergirl did, I`d cut down on it. It is so nice to have bubbles in your drink without all that sugar though!

Thanks for the research! I feel better now, it`s one of the must-haves for me. It`s so refreshing!
I remember reading that you had experienced stress of some form in an earlier post, maybe the headaches were related to that?
I can drink heaps of these waters, probably because they`re much lighter than the sugary equivalents!

Ok I just had a little google around, apparently it should be less then 195mg of sodium per litre, I checked my mineral water bottle and it said it was 5mg of sodium per 100mls – so that well under the recommendation. I don`t have a bottle of still water to compare it too. I`d say the sodium levels in still water would be very similar to that of sparkling. There isn`t really a difference between soda (man made) and sparkling (natural mineral) – who knows what was causing my headaches then?
So to answer you question, I`d say that it shouldn`t be dehydrating you (there is sodium in all water naturally) hmm very interesting anyway.

I was drinking soda water a lot too, and I found I was getting lots of headaches, so I switched to Mineral water and I don`t get the headaches now. But I don`t know what it is – both have similar sodium levels. I drink mineral water nearly every night – so refreshing and better than any other fizzy drink ie- coke. I do find I drink more mineral water in comparison to normal water – maybe it does make you more thirsty? I might google it.
