skin type changed ?

hey girls,

recently ive noticed my skin being more oily than it usually is,
or has ever been. Also along with that,
my hair has done the same.

does anyone know why this happened?
my skin has always been ”normal” , not particularly dry,
but not oily either. even in hot weather.

could it be a change in diet maybe ?

xoxo

I’ve moved from the driest part of the state to the most humid and my skin completely changed. I went from dry/flakey to oily/shiny. However, all it takes is a windy/chilly day and my skin goes straight back to dry and uncomfortable.

I’ve basically swapped a lot of products to lightweight versions and I actually blot now lol. I’d never done that before.

I find changing my pillowcase frequently helps a lot. Initially I made the mistake of cutting out moisturiser at night, but my skin decided to overcompensate so watch out for this.

I say embrace the oil! I love having more of a glow now.

Also it could be more oily if you have been using harsher products on your skin or hair, have you changed any of your skin care or hair care products recently that could possibly be contributing to it ??

Have to agree with Oceangirl12 and MML that changes in weather can make a huge difference. Also, hormonal changes (the joys of being a woman!), changes in skincare or cosmetics are some common reasons. Dietary changes as well. Some medications also produce changes. I am on some medication at present which makes me perspire greatly – fortunately I am getting off it shortly as I can’t bear it any longer. You might want to see what things you can eliminate as causing the change if it concerns you. Generally though, skin can feel drier in winter because of the colder weather and heating indoors. x

Hi Pinkcoco my skin and hair vary during certain months of the year too. Normally I have combination/sensitive skin prone to dryness in Winter and oiliness in Summer as the weather heats up and increases oil (sebum) production. If you’ve always had normal skin and hair your body might be going through some hormonal changes or simply reacting to the humidity. If you’ve recently swapped beauty products this could be a reaction to them too

    chnages in weather conditions

Mine goes dry in summer and spring and oily in winter

You would think it would be the other way around

The best way is to trat your skin to the type that it is Oily
