Models

I have to ask, why are all of these models so impossibly beautiful and skinny? It doesn’t make me feel so happy about myself sometimes. I know good-looking people promote products, but sometimes I think I need to look like them and it lowers my esteem.
I hope soon BH can use more ‘normal’ models in future because it relates more to me.

Model are all skinny because it`s easier for the designers to have a standard size. They are also very tall. I personally don`t find rake thin to be all that attractive. I wouldn`t want to be that tall either. Confidence is beautiful. Love yourself for who you are meant to be and you are beautiful. Redlox don`t let the media or magazines control how you feel about yourself. Magazines are all airbrushed anyway. Women are supposed to have curves. It`s feminine.

Redlox we can all look beautiful and we should ALL FEEL beautiful!
Do you have a good skincare regime? Are you confident with applying your makeup? Do you have a signature fragrance? Do you dress to your body shape? Do you eat well?
All of these factors make you who you are and this is what shows on the models faces, skin and in their attitudes.

Remember Marilyn monroe wasn`t too skinny and everyone wants to look like her

I prefer a more fuller or athletic figure rather than skin and bones. Too boney looks sunken in and unhealthy, definately not attractive.

To be honest I like looking at the really pretty models, I don`t like skinny models but I much prefer to look at attractive people. I think we confuse being attractive with being skinny. if you watch Americas Next Top Model they usually have at least one token plus size girl in the group. Some of the girls they have had on are really beautiful but in proportion, they usually meet their own end because of their own lack of confidence which is a shame and some skinny minx wins, but they get the chance at least.
I think in Australia we tend to go a lot more for healthy looking girls (except some of the runway shows), girls that are just naturally pretty tiny. That is not me, so I like sussing them out and I`m sure they stare at me with the green eyed monster as I shovel down my slab of cake hehehe.

I like the rare comps they have for girls size 14 and up. Now these women are the real beauties!!!!

Models do enjoy themselves – a lot!! Some of the 3am morning starts were not so fun but being invited in to have breakfast with the crew afterwards at unique places was loads of fun (I ate heaps for breaky!!). Catching planes and staying at holiday resorts for free were also loads of fun (and eating whatever you wanted there for free too was fun). I look back on my experiences now and just dream!!! (I have three young girls now) I got it pretty good back then (and I still eat what I want – but alas, I have to pay!). Being skinny naturally back then still renders me a fantastic figure now – thank goodness!!

I`d just like to see a wider range of sizes, because they`ve overdone the Twiggy fashion for too long now, and more women are saying that they prefer `more average` sizes because it makes he product look more real and relevant to them. There are some beautiful models and some who are completely healthy, but they are not the common skinny model (I reckon).

I suppose it depends on the job and purpose of the model (depending on context). When I think of a model, I like to see someone who looks healthy. When you see a model – you have a reaction, a “”healthy”” one or a “”oh my gosh… she is so ____””. The media has huge influence over a lot of it. They need to have a more healthier role in the model industry.
