Ideas for a Male 60th Birthday
hey everyone.
my dad is turning 60 and we are really stuck as to what to get for him.
i was thinking a night down on the GoldCoast with a nice dinner and breakfast package but we’re not sure if we should get him something he can keep.
any suggestions?

thanks flutter, that`s very kind of you to say. he is a complete pain in the butt sometimes but he is still my dad and we all still love him. hehe
.
as for the posts changing names. the only way to sort of get around it at the moment is to ignore any thread written in capitals. haha -

Dear Princess75,
I am so sorry on my late reply I am getting confused on the threads in this section as the titles of the threads keep changing and they end up being the same one with Blackdiamonds threads she started, the titles just keep on changing it`s either that or I am losing my mind. So by the end I am too tired to look at any more threads.
I am so sorry to hear about your father and being that it`s something he has to live with all I can say is I hope that he has better days then others and that he is feeling really well on his special birthday. I can tell you love him heaps. I love my father in law but I have mixed feelings on fathers day as I miss my father. I am sure he will love his present so much. He is blessed to have a daughter to care so much to give such a sentimental thoughtful gift. I won`t tell my father in law what your getting your father other wise the cheeky smurf will think he`s being rorted.
Have a great day hon.
Love Flutter.

This is really funny because my dad is 60yrs in Oct! He has everything he needs and doesn`t spend much on himself, and has limited hobbies. So I`m getting him a painting done of himself by a relative because he`s never had this before, and it`s a unique idea.
As a family present we`re going to get him a surround sound system for his TV – I know he will love that because tuning out in front of the TV after work is a daily thing for him. -

All the best for your dad`s birthday, P75! 🙂 If you haven`t bought the birthday card yet, there`s a birthday card that has a CD of the best music of the specific year of the person`s birth, with the famous events of the year printed on the CD cover. I think they sell some at Myer.

thanks flutter,
yeah he`s fine but he`s not. he had a severe heart attack when he was 42 and his body is a bit of a mess with athritis and degenerative disc desease in his back and all the rest. some times he`s fantastic and others he just is not.
anyway, we are pretty sure he and mum will love this as they really enjoy getting out and doing something a bit special because they only do it if we make them so it`ll hopefully be a nice treat.

The present for your dad sounds so lovely, it`s a beautiful present, I know if I got that as a present I would be on a high for days and remember it for a lifetime. I am sorry to hear your father is not feeling the best and hope he is doing okay?
Have a great day!!
