I proposed!

I’m blushing even now as i type, but I asked on the 29th adn he accepted. It was so nice! I have told people today so we could have a quiet day together. And my ring is so gorgeous! I’m glad i had the guts to ask because i would’ve regretted not asking.

try not to think of the planning in a stressful way Redlox, go with it and lap up every tiny moment. the important thing to remember is that it is ALL about you and your partner, so if you need to `feel` selfish, then do it. do exactly what you want how you want and everyone else just has to deal with it. it is not their engagement or wedding. lol.

Congratulations redlox!! good to see a woman taking charge these days. It usually the guy tht always proposes. That`s like i have been engaged since the 20th august last year. The way it happened was simple yet sweet. My partner was like come for ride to the shops i need to pick up something. I ended up waiting in the car cos i was a dag LOL..He came back and he`s like i i wanna ask you something but i wish i could do this nicely, like take me out to a fancy restaurant and im like its ok . and he popped the question , right there and then in the carpark LOL..And i started crying lol.He promised to make up for the special dinner, still hasnt tho lol ..typical male

Having a family heirloom is so special and precious and great to pass on to more generations to come. I think it`s great you proposed and very romantic. I don`t think it has to be the guy who proposes these days! You must be on cloud nine right now 🙂

He had a family heirloom from the 1800s and it`s so gorgeous I””m sometimes scared to wear it! We will probably buy a smaller, cheaper ring for everyday wear and use the heirloom for special occasions. I want to be able to pass it on to one of my kids.
I am glad I asked now, it seems unusual to do according to many people, despite women being traditionally `allowed` to do it that day!
Thanks for all of your well-wishes. Now the not-so-fun part of organising everything! We`ll wait at least a year for the wedding day…

Go girl, I have ever really heard of any one doing the Leap year proposal, it will be something to tell the grandkids. Did you pick the ring and buy it yourself, or had you already arranged something. Heres one for girls lib. Love to see more women taking charge..
