Help! Cream Eyeshadow Palettes
Hi, can anyone offer suggestions of a good eyeshadow palette that’s under $30? I’m after a cream eyeshadow, preferably in a palette of approx 6-30 different shades (eg. dark/pigmented pinks, blues, purples etc) instead of variations of the same shade)?
I did a search on ebay/google and the only palettes which look promising are the Miss Rose 24 Colour palette and the Saffron 27 Colour palette. Has anyone used either and can tell me if it’s any good?
Thanks!

Hello!
In relation to cream eyeshadows can anyone recommend brushes? are there particular brushes catered for cream shadows or can I use normal ones!
I just got a cream eyeshadow (only $25) but i still want to be able to use it!Hi heatherrs!
I don’t think this brush is made for cream eyeshadows but I like using it to apply cream eyeshadow – it’s the Real Techniques shading brush http://realtechniques.com/shop-collection/your-eyes-enhanced/shading-brush
I also think applying cream eyeshadow with your finger works really well too because it warms up the product and applies it easily onto your eyelid.

I just got a cream eyeshadow (only $25) but i still want to be able to use it!You can use your fingers if you want a sheer wash but if you want a more opaque look you will need to use a brush. You will need a stiff brush and there are special brushes designed for cream shadows. I know that brands like Bobbi Brown, MAC etc have them but they are pricey. May be worthwhile checking out brushes at Priceline or other cosmetic stores. x

Sleek has just released cream shadows/primers palette, but I’ve heard mixed opinions about it.
I would say Kryolan is a good option, very reliable brand 🙂
I just saw these on ebay and they look good but who knows what they are like until you try hey. I really want the Sleek sparkle palette! It looks gorgeous. I love sleek eyeshadows.

I like the Smashbox one, it is a set of 10 cream liners and they are great colours.
Revlon ones are awesome too.
I wouldn’t recommend paying retail price for either. I got Smashbox one for $10 from Zuza shop in Melbourne. Revlon palettes cost $5 on Glossi website. I think Blackmagic recently got a heap of them.Illamasqua make a liquid metal quad, gorgeous colours!
I am keen to check out Sleek!
Good to hear that someone likes the Smashbox one. Smashbox now has a metallic cream liner palette with 10 colours. There are quite a few available on ebay – I haven’t bought any, was just browsing and saw them. x

I checked it out a few weeks ago but wasn’t overly fussed with the colours in that palette 🙁 What are your thoughts Magda on the best palette to get from the Sleek iDivine range, the one I want is the safari and I could only find it available in the UK for a ridiculous price because of the shipping, so will have to scrap that idea and pick another version 🙁 Maybe the original??
I wasn’t crazy about this palette either. And about iDivine palettes it all depends on what you are looking for. But the original is very versatile and I am sure most of the colors will suit you perfectly, Mel. Storm is ok too but there are 3 gold shades that are very similar to each other. I would go for the Original.
Do you still enjoy your LM Eye Basics?OMG the Eye Basics is a god send darl, I am so glad you pointed me in that direction, I have not used anything else that keeps my oily lids matte and eyeshadow in place for so long, its top stuff 🙂
Thanks also for your info on the iDivine, it is so hard to tell looking at swatches and reading reviews, some of the others looked quite good but like you mentioned they had about 3 similar colours in the one palette (WTH??? there was another one with three blues I think, crazy, haha) yep I will definitely stick with the original I think, now just to hunt down the best price 🙂 -
