FORMAL Hair styles? Sites? Ideas?

Hi- Id really love and definitely need some help. My daughter and I would like some ideas or some good places/sites to look for hair styles, in this case specifically for Formal. My 17yr old daughter has shoulder blade length hair, some natural curls,will be wearing a short dress and thinks she wants an upstyle. But it would be more rock chick than Princess Grace! Id like to check out one of those sites that you can insert a pic and it shows your face in different styles. If you have any suggestions, that would be great, thankyou.

This is not the kind of site you were asking about, but I was looking at this one (below) this morning and thinking “”if I go were going to a formal, I would want my hair like this.”” Check out the lingerie pics…I love the upstyles. My hair is too short, and your daughter`s might be too, but these are great modern styles for you to get an idea.
For one of my formals, my mum came up with a cool idea: I had a spiky, loopy kind of do and we got 3mm satin ribbon to match my dress and cut it into pieces about 8-9cm. We tied the ribbons midway onto the cornered end of a hair pin so it stuck out in two spikes. These were inserted all through the do and it looked great.

i`m not sure what there is in the way of websites.. but there`s some great hair magazines out there.. that give step by step instrutctions on how to get a certain look.. even just like beauty sections of cosmo and cleo have great tips and tricks for hairstyles etc.. hope your daughter has an awesome formal! 🙂
