eyedrops as toner

Dermatologists say toner isn’t even necessary, i think beauty places and beauty companies just try and make us think we need it so we spend more money! I have been keeping my oily/combination skin under control by using a cheap BHA scrub (Biore) and a AHA scrub (ASAP 12% Glycolic), no toner and I have seen improvement in skin and less pimples occur in the first place.

They’re def a great quick fix for a pimple – but I wouldn’t be using them too frequently!

Hi Michy, I agree with Kay n Jay and Melmeko on this. They would be very drying and you definitely don’t want to strip your natural oils. The less ingredients in a product, the less likelihood of having an adverse reaction. You might like to experiment with some floral waters as a gentle toner, such as rose, lavender or chamomile. They are very inexpensive as well 🙂

Not a good idea at all, they will be far too drying on your skin, they contain all sorts of ingredients that do work to dry out and reduce redness on the odd zit but I would imagine they would also strip your skin of it’s natural oils. Besides a tiny little bottle of eye drops is worth around $12 so I can see that being very economical to use as a toner, the bottle wouldn’t last long. I think if you need to use a toner then you should definately get one that is designed as a toner for your skin and stay clear of the eyedrops.

Eyedrops may help you reduce the pimples but, eyedrops are for the eyes not for acne! You don’t know the side effects of using eyedrops on your skin. I don’t really suggest using eyedrops as a toner at all.
