Extensions
I have hair that is cut short. I was hoping to get extensions to shoulder-length but I know they are expensive.
Any recommendations on good brands plus approx prices?
And how do you use extensions – clean, insert, how long they last etc.

ive heard nothing but good things about remy hair extensions, and they are so cheap for real human hair clip ins! -

i absolutely recommend clip-ons. much cheaper and easy to use. jessica simpson does some good ones, but you can also find cheap section clips on ebay.

I had a look at her website, I think its hairuwear.com or something – anyway, I watched the demo. They do look really good!! They showed Ken Paves putting them on this lady, then she did it herself, no mirror or anything. Looked really simple, and there seems to be a good range of colours.
Saw some on Ebay for $150 but Im sure you could bid on some cheaper. 🙂 -

I tried the clip-on Jessica Simpson extensions yesterday. They are awesome – they look genuine and don`t come out even when someone firmly tugs your hair (as the stylist did in her demo)! That salon charges $180 for 22 inches. I nearly got them there and then but wnted to look on eBay first as that`s pricey for me.

diva extensions looks grand and the price is not too bad, i think it`s a full head set-8 pieces which vary in size for around $120-180 which lasts for a while, its real human hair, clip in so easily used and can be cut, coloured, heated if desired, avaible at most hair salons

I have hair extensions, not real ones the clip in ones. My hair is blonde with a few dark highlights and then the dark brown underneath. The extensions I got are dark brown with a few blonde highlights so matches my natural hair perfectly. I paid $250 for it (its one clip that covers your whole head) but a hairdresser down the road has them on special for $80 at the moment. They are great!! You can curl them, wash them, straighten them..treat them like your real hair and I get complimented on my hair ALL THE TIME!! I swear by them! Couldnt live without them now 🙂

My friend got bead extensions for $700 and they looked… okay
The beads themselves looked tacky, so you`d want to have enough hair already for them to be well-hiddenApparently as long as your hair is long enough to tie into even the shortest, stubbiest of ponytails, you can get extensions 🙂

My friend has those. She has hair above shoulder length, just under chin. They look fantastic.
My sister had the clip extensions in (she is a hairdresser and got them at cost haha) and although they are better for hair, she still had to have a few inches in length cut off after she had them removed after about 6 months. It was all dry and dead, ew.
I like the sound of the removable ones, my friend even sleeps in hers if she has been for a night out. They look heaps real cos you can have them dyed to match your hair.
