Bronzer
I have never tried a bronzer and would be interested to know if anyone knows of any good inexpensive ones I could try

The toofaced chocolate contour palette I think is quite good, it has two shades of bronzer/contouring colours and a light matte shade (in case you go overboard/for highlighting) and a sparkling highlighting colour.
Otherwise go for colourpop -

You can use bronzer on any skin, pale to dark. You just apply it thinly until you get the desired look. You want to look like the sun has naturally hit your face, so apply it to your cheeks, bridge of your nose, your forehead and a touch on your chin.
For redheads (I`m assuming you have pale skin?) just apply it very lightly so it looks natural. You may need to play around with different brands until you find a shade suitable for your skin tone.
