2nd wedding anniversary

We celebrated our second wedding anniversary last year. The traditional gift for the second wedding anniversary is cotton. I wrapped my brain trying to be creative and this is what I can up with….

I bought my man a new gorgius cotton shirt and then made up a strip show for him to the song ‘OH my god’ by Usher. I wore his new shrit, had some lacy underwear with fish net thigh high stockings on and a red cotton ribbon around my waist. He absolutely loved it and had the biggest smile when people asked what I got him. Ofcourse they were not given all details.

Congrats Shul, I like beautystars idea of waiting until Bub goes to bed and doing something special at home for you and hubby. Grab a nice meal and enjoy each others company. Its impossible to have any romantic moments when you have a toddler on the loose, hehe. I recently did a 3 hour round trip to drop my kids at their grandparents for the night so I could get a night out too, they have only stayed away about twice since they were born (my son is 4) as I have never left them with baby sitters either. Hope you have a good night 🙂

We have never really done much for our anniversaries…plus we got married on australia day so there is always something on, on our anniversary. I think for a second one (we had been together 12 years by that stage) we both took the 27th off work and had lunch in the city then went to the movies – but that doesnt work for you guys with the bub.
If bub goes to bed around 7 you could then order takeaway from anew place you have been wanting to try, or maybe find a nice gourmet deli and buy some belgium chocs, get some champers (if you are ok to drink), maybe some nice cheese and have an at home goumet picnic.

Can’t help with pressies – we dont really do them for anniversaries, though hubby did give me a newspaper from the day we were married for our first anniversary. I have put it awa to look at a few years down the track.

My husband surprised me with a lovely packed picnic basket with all the goodies i was craving at the time hehe and took me on a lovely picnic in a beautiful forest by a lovely river, we had our eldest daughter with us too. We had a very lovely time. That night we took turns massaging each other. What ever you do, it will be special. Have fun 😉
