Beautygeek is MARRIED!

So by popular demand, I am starting a topic about mine and G’s upcoming nuptials 🙂 (this will also totally give away my identity to anyone i know who comes on here but meh!)

I’ll give you a little backstory, and what we have done so far… enjoy reading 🙂

G and I met in 2005 on the internet, on an Australian band, Thirsty Merc’s message boards. One day G pm’d me for my msn messenger address, then we swapped phone numbers, started talking every night, and then we decided to “be exclusive” in the October. NYE 2005 G flew down from Sydney and it was definitely love at first sight!

Through 2006 there were a few trips up to sydney and down to melbourne, but in August I moved to Sydney and lived with G, and things got better!

Then August 2008, he caught me totally by surprise (he’d been at a mate’s house and i was at home in my pajamas stuffing my face with doritos and watching the OC lol), got down on one knee, ring box (and ring lol) in hand and asked if I would marry him. Queue tears, “oh my god!”s and “of course I will!”…. and so we became engaged 🙂

So now we’ve been engaged for nearly 2 years. The wedding date is the 13th May next year, and so far we have a celebrant, a venue, and a lot of ideas.

I’ll post a pic of myself in this first comment within the next few days, but I intend to use this topic to keep all you lovely ladies in the loop with wedding plans, as a place to vent when things are turning to crap, a place to source amazing hair and beauty ideas from all your astounding knowledge bases, and a place to chat and have fun.
