My mum used to be a security guard/ watchful shopper and she would watch people put things in skirts, hats – prams etc..

She found one lady who opened the box of beauty cream, put the tub in her handbag and walk off. SHe stood outside with the empty box and took her back to watch the CCTV and call the cops…

A funny story was an old lady standing near exxy items, looked susly around and then proceeded to let the biggest fart out… Apparently mum was in hysterics watching here lmao……

You definitely did the right thing! I just dont understand shop lifters, how they can just take things without paying for it and somehow live with the guilt (or maybe they just dont feel guilty at all!).

You did the right thing for sure. I’m not rich but i would never even consider stealing, it is so wrong. The woman needs to pay like everyone else.

Stealing is just so wrong in many ways. I work in retail and the amount of stealing that goes on is disgusting. People are also really sneaky, for example they remove one item from a box and put other items in there that are more expensive. A few weeks ago it was noticed a pram had been stolen. I’m sure your all thinking how. The mother came in with one pram, popped her child into a store display pram and just walked out leaving the old pram behind. One guy used a blade to cut open a box and when doing so also cut his hand. We only realised when he was running out of the store and leaving a blood trail behind. This makes me so angry. I do not think the legal system does enough. If people lost a finger for each time they stole they sure would think twice after doing it the first time. Can you tell stealing makes my blood boil!

Good thing for reporting them I say. My friend and I are often in shops and say to each other, how easy would it be to steal from here? Not that we ever would!!!!!!! Like even when they “check your bags” on the way out….. some of them dont really bother to look hard…. So its good that she was caught ! Because there would be so many who just get away with it. and its not right…

I would never ever be able to steal anything though. My conscience would not allow it. The only time in my life I’ve stolen anything was when i was 6 😛 and a girl in my class had a tamagotchi… and i realy wanted one 😛 so i took it. An hour later I felt bad so I put it back in her bag 😛

And i aggree with Happychic…. I get so sick of people saying… oh but I cant afford this, or cant afford that…. It doesnt make it okay. There are alot of support networks for those sort of people. My sister isnt very well off and shes part of some groups that give away free stuff…. so like if you have something you dont need, give it away to someone does… and maybe when you need something they will do the same. Her best friend is a lady who gets alot of free food (she is a foster carer) and when she gets too much (usually its bulks of bread or fruit and veg…)she lets a community of people know (pretty much anyone is welcome) and she gives it all away for free to people who need it.

I mean and thats food… Thats a necessity….. Stuff people actually need. Why steal stuff from priceline?… honestly you can live without it! I dont understand how people can steal and not feel bad about it. I just couldnt ever do it!

You did the right thing for sure! stealing is not exceptable under any circumstances! as for the people who say I can’t afford for or teats my my kids thats BS their a charities that offer food vouchers and you can pick up toys at the salvos for a couple fo dollars.
As much as we here a Bh would like top think it is make up is not neccessary in life, although we all love wearing it. You are so right people who steal are the reason why prices continuously inflate, at a supermarket where I used to work stocktake revealed that the store lost $20,000 no joke, from unaccounted stock!that obviously affects the consumer and product prices
