Winter Hair 2011.

Hello girlies 🙂

I am desperate to get a haircut! I have brunette (dyed) hair, have/had a full front fringe (which is way to long – i have been lazy and broke), and hair down to the top of my boobs. The only way my hair looks good is when it is straightened or curled, it is like a lions mane otherwise!! Au natural is not really an option

I want an easy to keep hairstyle, keeping the length of my hair. Any suggestions?

Gorgeous hair beautyqueen95, your hair style and colour suit you nicely.
I love your fringe, I have tried a fringe and unfortunately it doesn’t suit me.
My hairdresser used to thin my hair rather than layer which worked great. But I guess it depends on your hair.
Good luck at the hairdressers tomorrow. I am shocking because I never know what I want to do even when I sit in the chair… Haha I always also my hairdresser to do something different. I haven’t been since August last yeah (hiding in shame after that fact). You must post before and after piccys =)

    Thanks Viv and blackmagic.

I want to lose some of the weight of the hair, so layers are the way to go!!

Booking in with the hairdresser tomorrow 🙂 SO I can get some style back! I’m just pulling my fringe back and trying to make it look good ;(

I agree with blackmagic… layers would look great, but I reckon you can keep the fringe (or maybe loosen it up… ask your hairdresser to give it some texture so that it’s not too thick and blunt; it will help open up your face a bit more).

Layers are my go-to option if I need a cut and don’t have a style in mind. They will give you that “wavy-straightness” simply because your hair will have many different lengths, giving the illusion of waves.

If you’re feeling like there’ s just too much hair, you can ask for inverted layers (long outside short inside as opposed to long inside short outside) to lighten up your hair. It’s low maintenance but that doesn’t give you many options in terms of styling.

I’m just not sure if the fringe makes my face closed in. For ease my hair is normally in a ballerina or messy bun, and I only straighten the fringe. It is longer since that photo was taken…

It is long enough now to maybe get a side fringe cut in, but I’m not sure what style to go with…..

Really wanting a bit of a wavy look with a bit of straight if you get what I mean. Messy straight maybe?

I reckon you would look nice with some layering to give your hair some more dimention. The fringe does suit you though. If you want to change the fringe you could try a side fringe. But I do like the front fringe and it suits your face shape.
