What’s your ancestry?

My background is italian and something else i think its either scottish or irish! But i def have alot of italian blood due to my dark hair and olive skin, but i have been born and raised in australia of course (:

My mother was born in Malaysia (but her parents were from China) and My father was from China (shanghai area)
I was born in Malaysia

mums side – australian, english,..

YAY! thanks Mel! As you know I am a bit of a mix myself, I am Australian born, my father is English with blonde hair and blue eyes and tall, and my mother is half FILIPINO (would have had NO idea how to spell that one! LOL) and half Spanish she’s tanned, tiny with dark hair. Hence my mixed looks.

Are you kidding me? Your mother is half Filipino and you wouldn’t have known how to spell it? I find that really quite odd.

i thought Phillipino was just like the english way to spell it, like Phillipines.
and Fillipino was the way they said it as a culture…

same as you would say french and not francais, and spanish not espanol.

Nope it’s definitely Filipino. That”s the correct English spelling, just for future reference! In Tagalog they would most likely say Pilipino.

Also, my comment (about finding it odd that she wouldn’t know hot to spell Filipino) was not meant to come across as mean at all, just so you know. Unfortunately that is how it came across, but it was not my intention to be mean.

My background is German and italian, i have been lucky enough to live in both countries when i was younger, i was born here in Australia and am so glad my parents picked here to migrate. 🙂

I never said that, it is hard to interpret written text in general. I have done it in the past, we just have to be careful.

Yes, we are a tight knit community on here, but we never intend to gang up on people. I have seen other members do that on other forums and its not nice.

That’s a-okay, and I apologise for causing drama yet again (however unintentionally). I think 1. People have a preconceived notion about me and therefore how they interpret my comments, due to the original “incident”, and 2. I have dreadful social skills.
I really don’t know how to make my “internet speak” sound more friendly… or whatever… :/

its pretty crazy hey !

makes sense, my mums surname is not a typical croatian last name and my great grandmother her maiden name sounds Ukrainian !

on dads side the english side we are a direct relative to Elizabeth Fry she is on one of the pound notes- she is notable for helping women in prisons in the 19 century. =)
