I haven`t bought a primer yet but am just applying moisturiser waiting 10mins and then applying foundation – works well.

Have been using the FoA primer for almost a week now and I`ve noticed my skin looks less oily on the t-zone by the end of the day and I`m not coming home from work with the odd clogged pore. Can that be attributed to the primer? Either way it`ll definitely be a stable in my routine now and I look forward to trying others.

And yes rendevous, primer should always be applied before foundation.

The Clairns is a standout for me in primers atm, it makes a huge difference to my skin and makeup looks so good 🙂

I tried the Revlon primer because a friend recommended it but ended up going back to moisturiser. It really wasnt worth the money I paid for it.

I tried the Face of Australia Face Base today and it was really nice. My makeup looked nice and smooth at the end of the day and went on better. Had previously used the Natio Ageless one (same but with some extra ingredients and runnier) and the Napoleon Perdis one and the FoA is nicer than both at this stage. Nice sized tube too 🙂

Hey Linga, do excuse me for jumping in. But gals, any difference to foundation? Eg sth like revlon photo-ready thingy? Or should primer be applied THEN followed by foundation? So as to enhance the look.

I should really invest in a primer too, but I`m wondering if it`s ok to use them on bare skin under a tinted moisturiser? I wear TM then I apply concealer where needed, then a powder to set it. I find my makeup only budges or goes patchy if I skip my Dermalogica Multiactive Toner.

I tried the Autopilot in a sample and loved the texture, but didn`t really notice a difference from my usual routine. The FoA one looks really nice though when you read the tube. Don`t know why I haven`t chucked in into my Priceline baskets actually…

I too love the Australis primers (it can be bought at Priceline or any department store), but I only use it when I feel it is neccessary. I usually apply my SPF15 moisturiser, primer and then make up but sometimes (especially when I`m in a rush) skip the primer.

I love the Face of Australia primer, it is only about $10 and makes a huge difference to the staying power of my mineral foundation. The other day I bought it at Kmart and it only cost me one cent as it scanned as gift with purchase and the guy on the checkout didn`t notice.

I have no idea! I love that primer. The foundation was really good too. I keep it for when I travel because then I can take both with me in the one pack.
