What are your thoughts on economical skincare?

A columnist from the Sunday Telegraph is wanting to chat to women who are using and loving cheaper skincare brands.

If you are using a low-cost skincare brand and having success with it, and would be happy to chat to a journalist about your experience, please email me and I can put you in touch. Email: leanne@beautyheaven.com.au

Thanks!

I`m with BeautyBee & Hmad here, i don`t think that price dictates quality in every product and am happy to use a mix of cheaper & luxe products if they suit my skin type/concerns, though i still try to be mindful of what ingredients the product contains no matter what price point it is. Do agree Capt.cheeky so easy to impulse buy when something great is inexpensive 🙂

I use the Nivea`s Refreshing Toner. So far, so good!
Economical skincare is good because its cheap
its bad because its easy to IMPULSE BUY
    LOL

brands that i find are definitely economical are nivea and olay. I usually use the nivea as a quick moisturizer and the olay for days when i really need it. My mum loves olay too and has bought probably over 20 bottles in her lifetime, saying that it is ten times better than the exxy ones for a fraction of the cost.

I agree Emyloo. I use Nivea skincare products & find they are great as well as being reasonably priced. I found that when I tried more expensive moisturizers, I did not notice a difference.

True, Emyloo. There are some good quality and economical products on the market.

Price does not always reflect the quality of a product,

After using cheap skincare my whole life with no results I am now using quality products that actually deliver, my skin has never been better, so in fact I am actually saving myself money from buying products over and over that are not effective.

Same with Hmad- i tend to mix and match, too. The Luxe products certainly feel a lot more luxurious on my skin, too.

I use a mixture of “”cheap”” and luxe brands. I like Nivea`s toner but for serum I tend to use EL. I think the less expensive brands have some great products, such as Olay Regenerist, which is $50 compared to the others that do the same thing and are more than double, sometimes triple the cost.

I`m agreeing with the consensus here that it`s definatley not about the price but about the quality of the ingredients found within the product. Sometimes you`ll be lucky and find a product that is cheap and sometimes not. Substance over selling price.
