Washing Clothes

Hi Beauties,
I have a uniform that I have to wear to work and by the end of the day my foundation is all around the collar. I use pre-soakers and stain removers, but nothing seems to budge the markings. Its not a very attractive look. Any suggestions?

The other thing I just thought of too that is very good is eucalyptus oil. It gets everything out. Just rub it onto the stain before washing. Good luck.

I had to remove some stains off my sons woolworths uniform the other day and it looked like oil so I tried the White King prewash. I also washed in warm water which I dont usually use and put a cup of course salt into the water with the washing powder. The stains were all gone. I was told that trick with the salt a couple of years ago by a uniform distributor because my husbands clothes get very greasy and I was using hot water but it was shrinking his clothes and hubby was not happy. He said use only warm water and add salt. I have never had to scrub his clothes or use hot water since.

Thanks to all of you wonderful beauties for the replies. I think I was using the Napisan all wrong. The idea of a paste is great and as I have said Mum uses Sards wondersoap, so between the two, I am sure I can get rid of the stains. Yippee.

My hubby is a labourer and making sure his overalls and uniform are clean is a nightmare! I like Napisan too and make a paste for difficult stains, then spray with Preen OxyAction (pink one) and launder with Omo. You can also add an extra cap of Napisan into the wash for extra power.

I use Napisan in the pink container. My hubby had a great big blob of black grease off a truck on a white t-shirt. I scrapped the excess off and made a paste of Napisan as per the instructions. To my surprise all of it came off.

My Mum used to use that for my brothers chef uniform :D.

I use Sards wonder soap too but if I have a bad stubborn stain, I use the Sard’s Powder stain remover and I make it into a paste and spread it over the stain, leaving it for at least overnight. Thing is, you have to do all this before you wash the piece of clothing cos once it’s gone through the wash without treating the stain, it gets even harder to budge. So make sure you do this as soon as you’ve taken your shirt off.

Thanks Roxymisha, I will definately buy some of this. My mum has always sworn by Sards wondersoap, but I just dont have the time, as this is a spray type I am certain it will do the trick.

My HG is Sard OxyPlus stain remover that I use on all stains. I have never been able not to shift a stain with this product. I also use cold water which may be beneficial. x
