Upper lip Hair!! the nice name for it

This can be a hard situation for us girls but I was wondering if anyone has a solution. When I put on bronzer no matter how much I try to avoid it I always end up with what looks like a moustache because the bronzer has darkened all the hair above my lip. Normally the hair there isn’t noticeable but as soon as the bronzer goes on WHAM I have a moustache. Does this happen to anyone else and if so how have they avoided this?!

I have also had a problem with upper lip hair that is mainly noticeable with the application of makeup and powders. When I was 14 I was really paranoid that I had a mo that I bought some of that hair removal cream and used it. Well it didn`t remove all of the hair properly so I applied it again and it burnt my skin!! Luckily it didn`t scar (I just had this ugly “”burn”” scab thing on my face for about a week) and that was much more embarrassing than my supposed mo!!! A month or so after that had healed my mum took me to the beauticians it get it waxed off and I have been doing that ever since. I used to get it waxed every 4 – 6 weeks but for the last couple of years the hair is so fine I only have to do it approximately every 3 months.

waxing your upper lip is the best solution

You can try bleaching Hannah, see how it goes with your skin. I have very fair skin and it looked unnatural in the sun, because the sunlight caught the hair. I find waxing very effective, it takes longer to grow back then the hairs on my leg and when the hairs grow back it isn`t very noticeable at all

i was thinking of bleaching my upper lip hair but would it be unnatural looking? im olive-dark skin. is waxing effective? i`ve tried plucking but it takes too long and i ed up lookig like ive missed a lot of areas. my upper lip hair is black. so annoying!

I have this problem too and have tried bleach (it just looked unnatural) and currently wax, it does the job well. Also Darkfeline if you put tea-tree oil after waxing tends to keep those annoying pimples away.

I have this problem too. I always use hair bleach. You don`t notice the hair at all for about a month afterwards. You can buy a little pot of it from the supermarket. I use the Veet stuff.

oh i have the same problem
    pluck or wax for sure!

Plucking is good too, but you can miss some hairs you would otherwise have gotten all at once with a wax strip.

But, it also depends how MUCH hair you want to remove. If it`s only a few stray dark ones, plucking is perfect! If you want to get rid of everything, waxing is more effective in a small period of time. Just a few yanks with a strip, or get your favourite beauty professional to do it for you. Often they have an easier time spotting hairs you may have missed.

I have always plucked my upper lip, i always assumed this was a good way of doing it.

Waxing seems to be the best approach, but I find that if I use the wax removing oils I get pimples the next day!
    No fun at all!
Another point to make is that a bit of a girl`tash can be a sign of other things happening in your body, like hormonal imbalances. So, while you`re down the street getting some wax, or some facial hair creme bleach, pop in to your GP and make an appointment! You could have fertility issues, like Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, and/or obesity issues, like Insulin Resistance. It`s always a great idea to get to the root of the problem (pun intended), as well as treating the symptom!
