Underarms

It’s embarrassing, but if anyone can help its you lovely ladies! Ever since i started shaving my underams as a young teenager,i realised that the razor wasn’t actually able to cut the hair close to the skin, and therefore was still visible.I have tried various razors, but none have ever given me a close shave..which is embarrassing. What suggestions do you have?

Another long term option is IPL. Underarm hair is supposed to respond quite well to this treatment. I had thick dark hair under my arms since I was a teenager and 2 years ago I stared IPL treatments. Admittedly I need about 8 treatments to get rid of most of the underarm hair, but apparently that was more than most need. Although it is expensive, underarms are a small area so maybe it is something to save up for? The freedom of not having shave my underarms every 2nd day is pretty much priceless.

I`d recommend waxing too…although underarms in my opinion is the worst waxing pain there is, worse than a brazilian. If you go and get it done professionally though it is over very quickly, and so fantastic to not have to worry about shaving for weeks on end.

Someone recommended shaving with baby oil to me – I tried it on the weekend and it worked fantastically! The oil really softens the hairs so you get a closer shave – so much cheaper than shaving cream too!

yea the nivea double effect doesnt have any effect on the hair growth but it smells really good and doesnt make you sweat as much

    anyways back onto the topic

the (i think its venus) 5 blade shaver (i use it) its pretty good because you only have to go over the hairs once but if that still doesnt work then try a mens shaver, it might work (it did with my friend who has the same problem as u)

i use the nivea double effect .. its a nice deo but it has no effect on the hair growth for me , and im not totally convinced i get any `closer` shaving .. but as a deoderant its nice 😀 also .. thats a really good tip caz492 , about self breast examintaion . i heard there starting a new add about that very thing .. i think they say u should self exam whilst making jam toast lol !

Im 41 and have always shaved under my arms. I also use a bit of moisturiser afterwards. It never bothers me just doing it twice a week and it never looks unsightly – well except sumtimes in winter – hope i dont get caught out. It also depends on how thick your hairs are. I use a good soap to use with the razor. While ur there do a self examine also.

Oh, and one more thing. You can try Nivea Deodorant Double Effect which costs around $5. It can slow down hair growth.

Shaving doesn`t alter the size or colour of the hair. A lot of people say that it does but it doesn`t. Shower or bathe before you shave. Hydrating hair with warm water makes it up to 60% easier to cut.
