just wondering do umbrellas protect from UV rays?

    u can get them that comes with material that helps to filter out uv rays….if u go any where in asia in summer u will see almost everyone with one to hide from the sun

    there are some umbrellas you can buy that have an spf factor, they look more like cotton fabric than ur standard shiny fabrics used for rainy days!! I see alot of people in chinatown using them.

    But ya i dont think the fact its black will make much of a difference except the fabric may get a bit hotter

    i`m soooooo lucky we have a boat shed, it would be soooooo annoying 2 have 2 carry all ur stuff, including a big bulkiy umbrella to the beach everyday! xox

    haha no that doesnt count .
    im sure they might feel cooler under the umbrella out of the direct sun .. but what a hassel to carry it everywhere .. and surely u know ppl are looking at you talking ! lol

    I never see people walking around with umbrellas when it is hot, I see beople at the beach with big ones though but that doesnt count

    i see many ppl walking around with an umbrella up here lol ..
    and just yesterday i saw a lady walking down the street holding it over her head .. and i thought to my self ..

    um .. hello .. if you dont like the sun .. im guessing QLD is not the place for you 😛

    Big w sell umbreallas with uv /spf protection , mine has flat cats all over it was about $15.00 two years ago .

    Nah Hasty black only absorbs the heat from the sun i don`t think it has anything to do with the UV rays but i may be wrong and i don`t know! So always wear a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and to apply daily when needed
