Tween moisturiser

My daughter’s 9 and I would like to start teaching her about facial care.

I have tried various moisturisers from Sorbolene to Aveeno and straight baby creams.

I’m yet to find a cream that I think is suitable for my tween.

Any suggestions?

Could someone tell me where I can get Moogoo?? Haven’t seen it anywhere.

    Thanks

You can buy it online from their site or in store from a health store.

We have started using Simple and I can already see the difference, my girls skin just looks fresher and they’re not complaining about their skin feeling tight.

So glad you found something suitable, am pretty sure that Simple will meet their needs 🙂

While MooGoo is awesome its probably a bit expensive for most young people 🙁 I know that until I left home and got a full time job I really had to skimp on the skincare, as do most young people who are still at school and uni.
Probably better off trying some of the readily available and very affordable brands like QV, Cetaphil, Dove, Redwin Vitamin E or Sorbolene Cream, Simple, Aveeno or Biore 🙂

    I wish I knew about MooGoo when I was a tween/teen 🙁

I wasn’t acne prone until my HSC but I was prone to flakiness that would get irritated from late primary. MooGoo has fixed me up now and I’m sure it would have fixed me up then.

    Thanks everyone.

I have bought some Simple moisturiser today and going to give it a go and see how she goes.

But Moo Goo is on my list if this is unsuccesful.

    Hey Latte,

Have you tried the Peachface range? It’s specifically formulated for tweens and teens so could be a great option for you. Here’s the link to the listing if you’d like to check it out:

    xx

They sound divine! I wish I had those when I was a teen! – I was terrible with skincare. I didn’t start using cleanser until I was about 14 or 15. No wonder my skin was so terrible back then.

They’re a bit pricey but considering they’re made using certified organic ingredients they’re actually reasonably priced. If you’re into being as natural as possible and money isn’t a huge factor then they’d be perfect. I even like the sound of the Tween toner for myself now even though i’m 20 😛

If you’re on a budget though, Nivea gave me good results (I used their Oxygen Power cleanser which I think is discontinued now). Can’t speak about their Young range.

If you want something natural but more affordable than Peachface, try Gaia, they’re perfect for the whole family and I love both of their cleansers. I’m actually a bit addicted to their Skin + Body range 😛

Whoops, got a bit side tacked. What are you looking for in a moisturiser for her? Why haven’t you found the ones you’ve tried to be effective. That way we have a better idea what you’re after.

at age nine, as long as she is not breaking out or has specific skin concerns (e.g. eczema or psorarias) i highly recommend that she doesn’t use any products, especially expensive ones she might get hooked on, lol! I know when i was a tween i was really addicted to cleansing my face with my Mum’s expensive Lancome cream cleanser!
So if cleansing isn’t enough in the dry winter, a simple and light, oil-free moisturizer such as Ceptahil pump moisutriser or even the cheap and cheerful Sorbelene would be great for a 9 year old with regular skin type.
