THE BEST of the best ( High end and drug store)

Hello beauties!

I would love to hear your opinion on what you think is the BEST foundation for dry skin for both high end and drug store. It could be mineral, liquid, compact, powder etc etc 🙂

I’m sorry if there is already another thread on this

Hope you are also having a great 2011 easter!

Forgot to mention that the Maybelline superstay foundation is good as well. But I am annoyed with the design of the bottle. The opening is far too big and it is so easy to get too much product and it can get messy.

I have found the SAs at Giorgio Armani to be very friendly and helpful at Melbourne’s DJs. There are a range of foundations to choose from. I do love the lipsticks, both the satin and the rouge d’armani. Let us know what you end up buying. x

I totally agree with you about the mess with the superstay foundation makes! The opening hole is so big when I first opened it, I think i wasted about 1/3rd of the bottle 🙁 Yes I plan to head into DJ this weekend and look for some make up with great GWP as well 🙂

Beautyme, I am so glad to hear that you had the same experience as I did with the Maybelline foundation. Although it is a shame we both lost so much product. I will finish what I have but would not get it again because of the mess. The last thing you need is to clean up mess when you are applying your makeup! x

It’s definitely a great foundation, I personally think it’s better then Macs Mineralize skin finish, I have really dry skin and gives me a nice dewy healthy look, it’s quite expensive but worth it, it makes me think if it’s a lancome foundation in the bottle or not considering loreal owns lancome.

hahaha thats so true about loreal owning lancome !! I might head into price line to swatch it soon! Im so convinced 😉

Thank you so much Beautybabe111 and Roxy Misha:) I was just googling and it said that Clinique has the best line for dry skin but I really wanted to see what you experts would have recommended 🙂

I have heard alot of rave about the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua is great for dry skin and also I have personally used the Dior SKin forever extreme wear which is really really great for dry skin also but im looking for a change 🙂

I have never used Giorgio Armarni foundation but I might go grab a sample if the SA is nice and wont be mean for me asking but there eye liners and lipsticks are very very superb!

Beautyme123, I have normal to dry skin (noticing more dryness with change of seasons which is usual) and I have to admit that I do find the high end foundations to be superior. My favs are Giorgio Armani (known in beauty circles for fabulous foundations), Chanel (old favourite but don’t have one at present) and Dior (also old favourite but don’t have one now). The choices are endless in each brand in terms of type of foundation but I tend to prefer liquid foundations. I do use a compact foundation from time to time for ease of use and when I am in a hurry but for the best flawless look, I can’t go beyond liquid.

Loreal Paris’s Studio Secrets HD smoothing foundation, seriously the best.
