I`ve lived with depression since my teens. In the last few years, I`ve learnt how to manage it a lot better than I used to. I still have the bad habit of using chocolate as a coping mechanism.
Yes, I do wear a lot of makeup. You can see in my photos that it`s not caked on, but to transform someone from being an ordinary looking male to being a reasonably believable female does require quite a bit of makeup. I think that, even with reasonably regular practice, I`m down to taking about an hour to do makeup and a total of about 2 hours to go completely from male to female. It takes about an hour to go back, including the shortest possible shower.
It`d take half an hour just to describe all the steps in the transformation process. 🙂

hey p.i.p, glad to hear! Some people think i am really vain and self centered wwhen i say i dont like leaving the house without makeup. It isnt the case at al though, so many people expect us to look good like i said earlier and i personally dont like being bare faced if i am going somewhre! Glad to hear you are like me to, as i am sure lots of bh girls are:)

PiP, I`ve suffered from depression for many years and I tend to comfort eat when I`m depressed. I`m currently 80kg. Some of my best photos were taken earlier this year when I was down to about 74kg. I can actually see the difference in the shape of my face. My face is more masculine and square now than it was then. It`s still better than when I was 95kg several years ago, though!
Even a few kilos of weight difference makes a difference to how people behave towards you, even if they don`t realise it.
Ideally, I`d love to get down to about 65kg. At that weight, I would have a lot less fat around my waist, so my body shape would be much better than now. Given how much better my face shape is at 74kg, I think that my face shape would be a lot better at about 65kg.
SQ, for me it`s all or nothing. In boy mode, there`s a pair of stud earrings and no makeup at all. In girl mode, it`s complete coverage from the hairline to the top edge of my bra, contouring, highlight, blush, pencilled brows, eye shadow, mascara, eye liner, lipstick, wig, dangly earrings, a couple of clips in the wig and often a necklace.

Dear Alice, I think I know what you mean. I`ve found I get treated differently since putting on baby weight. I am trying to work it off at the moment so it will be interesting to see how things change when I do. I know it`s not the same but I think the way women look has alot to do with the way we are treated.
Dear Style Queen, I`m the same. I don`t like going out without at least a tinted moisturiser, mascara and lipgloss. -

I feel that way, too. I dont pile on the make up and usually just wear some balm foundation and mascara, but still i hate going without it. I think it is a security thing, we are expected to look good by a lot of people .

I find it far more enjoyable being able to be treated as if I am a female. I suspect that if I was able to dress in a similar manner while still being perceived and accepted as a male, it wouldn`t be as enjoyable.

I`m definately one of those women. I love makeup and always have and it doesn`t stop at makeup. I love clothes and accessories as well. I can understand why you enjoy dressing as a woman more. There is so much more choice for a start.
Hopefully in the not too distant future men will be able to wear womens clothing if they want to and not have to worry about the abuse of others. It`s hard to understand why anyone could be bothered by what someone else is wearing. xxx -

Thank you PiP. Believing that I was a woman from my photos is a great compliment, particularly if you looked at the ones on facebook and/or flickr and still thought that I was a woman. 🙂
I don`t pretend to be a makeup guru, because my makeup is always just that little bit wobbly in the fine details (particularly eyeliner and lip lines). Several more years of practice and I might be getting close. I do, however, know a few makeup tricks that most women will never need…
I`m quite ambivalent about male clothing. I own a suit and can wear it without looking like I`m a monkey that has been stuffed into it, but even dressed as well as I can be as a male, I don`t feel as well presented as when I dress as a female. I truly understand why some women feel that they can`t live without makeup. 🙂

Dear Alice, I think perhaps you may be the new make-up guru of BH. I thought you were a woman. It didn`t even occur to me that you were a man. Do you enjoy dressing in mens clothes as well? I hope this question doesn`t offend you. If so just let me know. xxx
