I am looking to buy a good face sunscreen with SPF 30. Been shopping and some some screen has AUSTL no.

I’ll like some recommendations of good sunscreen and do you think products with AUSTL no, means better product?

Thanks

i use ” Great outdoors sunscreen” by Simplicite, and it works amazingly.

even if you put the tiniest bit on, it still somehow works.
plus its 2 hours water resistant. and no chemicals involved.

it is SPF 15, but they say that 30 is only 4% more protection.

    heres where you buy it,

Glad you found out what AUSTL means. I think it is very important to know what you are getting in a sunscreen. TGA is the uber organisation for medications etc. so I personally would go with products bearing AUSTL. x

I’ve googled and AUSTL is registered with TGA Australia so that brands can make some sunscreen claims.

Are those sunscreen claims important? I thought if the product mention SPF30, they are all the same?

Never heard of that term either I’m afraid??? I personally like zinc based sunblocks as they provide a barrier between your skin and the rays, best ingredient in a sun protection product that I have used over the years by far 🙂 I never get burned with zinc 🙂

I don’t know what the AUSTL no means. You may try googling it. I love Nivea’s 30 plus sunscreen and Neutrogena’s 30 plus with helioplex. There are reviews on BH that you can look at. x

Finding a sunscreen that I was happy with took me years. After doing a lot of research I mainly use zinc sunscreens. Yes they can be heavy but zinc provides some of the highest level of UVA protection (UVA is the main cause of wrinkling while UVB burns the skin leaving it red.) This was my focus as sunscreen plays a big part in my preventative skin care plan.

I use the skin cancer council zinc based sunscreen. It comes in a green tube. I also use Invisible Zinc foundation stick. I am going to try the UV natural sunscreen soon.

    Hi St!

I don’t know what the AUSTL no. is that you’ve mentioned – very interesting though! I expect it may have something to do with Australia standards possibly?

I can suggest one love for my oily-combo skin and it’s the Senstive version of the Olay Complete SPF30+. I find the normal version of this quite oily but the sensitive one is about the least oily daily spf30+ moisturiser I can find to date that’s good for my skin.

    Hope this helps!
