my tips:
- Clear desk of ANYTHING that could distract you.
- Play some music, classical is best.
- Open the window. Fresh air helps you concentrate and remember things.
Also, as a ongoing thing throughout the year, its really go to get a separate notebook and just sum up everything you have learnt in the past week, and do this every week. it only takes about 20 minutes and you wont have to study as hard before the exams. Previewing the work you will learn also helps a lot, especially in maths and science. Just read or scan the information and take in the important parts.

Kimbee – They`re great tips :):) with the eggs and fish, I`ll add wholegrain bread/toast to the list – great for the brain!
Dimples – I`ve heard that as well! It`s interesting, isn`t it. Maybe lavender wouldn`t be the best choice though, it`s meant to be good for invoking sleepy feelings… Not the best for an exam 😛
For clarity of thought, focus, stimulation, concentration etc, try basil, lemon, peppermint, rosemary
For dispersing nerves, or anxiety, try bergamot, cypress, frankincense, lemongrass, patchouli, sandalwoodPerhaps make a blend that you think would suit you, and put it on a tissue as Dimples suggested, and then make another one to take into your exam 🙂
I think, not 100% sure though, that basil, bergamot, rosemary and lemon is meant to be a good study blend.
We need P75! 🙂

Hi Fashionista,
I`m still in highschool too and the stress, anxiety, sleepless nights from exams is just aargh eaitohweoghoBut anyways, I found this to keep my studyin grounded =):
x_ While you`re studying. listen to music. No not hiphop, house, rock and what not but classical music. Strange but helps keep you focused and put your mind on the spot. Trust, classcial music maay seem boring, this and that but it helps me study and concentrate better physically and mentally rather than the bass drummin singalong rnbs. One of my faavs for stuyding is Debussy Claude De lune. Trust me on this classical music = about 1-2 page A+ essayx_Get a good nights sleep. I know you`ll probably have holds ups, crusty eyes but a good nights sleep results in a fresher, more alert morning.
X_Snack on Boiled eggs. Apparently it good for memory. Good memory is vital for a big test.
x_Have your own space. A quiet, plain bright coloured (bright colours stimulate a positive mind) room that has everything you need like whether it`s stationary, inspiration, food etc.
x_.Review with each of your teachers to get a good knowledge of your tests and their feedback. The teachers will love it! Well acknowledge you by the fact that you yes only you unlike most students ask for their wisdom. =)
x._Study with someone that might help you like an older sibling, mum, dad, tutor. Preferably not friends because this you`ll get too distracted. It may seem like an innocent, nerdy or umm nerdiness with study buddies but most likely turn out to be a girl`s night out with laughts, drinks, and so on. If you do intend on having supporting study buddies, choose friends that take work as thier first priority and take responsibility. REmember this ain`t no social outing. THe worst thing that could happen is if someone`s explaining something, your other friends can`t stop laughing and someone gets upset, angry and feel like thier wasting thier time. yep.
X._Put on your smarty pants! Time to nerd out (stay positive) It`s all worth it when you see that A+ and a smile from your teacher =)
x_. Eat fish. Good for you brain. and drink lotsa water.
x._Listen to it, Say/speak it out loud, watch it, act it out, write it down, visualize or sketch it. People have different ways to study. Choose one that works for you.
x._Find out when you have specific exam subjects in terms on time and date so you can refer to your studying and which to study first.
x._Keep positive notes: “”I`m going to ace this test =)””
x._Educate other people that need advice and help on a specific subject. FOr example if they don`t understand how to work out a maths equation, teach em. You teach yourself on the way too but value most on your time for yourself or else people will just sit their ass and RELY ON YOU COS YOUR THE SMART ONE. lol, sorry baad study experience
x._Dont hesitate if you have difficulties in a particular question, subject yeer before it
s too late to ask and feel like kicking yourself on the butt. Smart people ask questions. -

Ooh that is a great idea Dimples! My daughter is only in yr8, but by crikey she has heaps of exams and assignments, I can`t get over how many she has. She tells me its all about time management, allocate a small amount of time to each subject, this way you won`t get overwhelmed with it all, she says this helps her heaps. I bet you will do really well Fashionista, Good luck darl!
