spot treatments – the $100 question

okay guys. there are lots of spot treatments out there. ones that do nothing, ones that dry skin into puff pastry-esque flakes and ones that go on clear and wait until you’re out of the house before turning off-white (coughclearasilcough).i have two questions for you:
1. what spot treatment is so good you would pay $100 for it?
2. what treatment is so bad you wouldn’t use it again for $100?

    Wow, sounds great!
I`m going out tonight, and have a mud-mask here ready, so I`ll give the bi-carb soda a go.
That is, as long as we have some in the cupboard.
    Hmm…

Yeah, believe it or not its one I read in an interview with Erica Heynatz. She gave it rave reviews and I thought – surely you jest? Then I tried it and now I swear by it! Use a mud mask after for a mini-facial. Im so vain Hee hee

The best thing I have ever used was a basic benzoyl peroxide topical gel from the chemist. I also like tea tree oil. I would never again use anything by clearasil, just over-dries skin and encourges more pimpling. I find prevention to be the best treatment, so once or twice a week I mix a little bi-carb soda with my cleanser – best exfoliant ever, and cheapest. I have had softer skin and heaps less pimples since using that.

As soon as I start to get a pimple I use Clinique anti blemish solutions clear blemish gel, and the pimple clears but and never gets really bad. It doesn`t dry out my skin either (however I rarely get pimples anymore and when I do they are small). As princess said masks are great for drawing out pimples as well.

I know Perfect Potion sell green clay and juniper oil should be fairly easy to get at health food shops that carry essential oils. I will have to try the green clay and i already have lavender and tea tree oil at home. Thanks for the tip Princess75

that sounds really good princess75, where do you get green clay and juniper oil?

i use green clay as an all over mask, but if i get a pimple i spot treat it with clay and juniper essential oil – it draws the gunk out really well. if it is one that can be popped after the clay then i zap it with lavender and t.tree, during the day 2 -3 times night once. spots clear up really quickly.
