Split Ends

Hey there,

my question is- I have really unruly hair, so am always straightening it, and as such I get split ends really easily. Just wondering if there is a product which you have tried which protects your hair when you straighten it, but also stops split ends? I’ve looked and tried a few but nothing really works?

Any advise?

P.S I currently use Dove Therapy Heat Styling Spray but I have a Tigi Heat Protectant Spray in the Beauty Swap thread which is great but looks a little greasy on my blonde hair.

Kimbee S2: I love GHD styling products too 🙂

I use Ojon`s Hair Mask and I firmly live by this product…I keeps the hair silky smooth, soft and strengthens the hair follicles and cuticles.
I really abandoned my hair this winter and it was feeling like straw so this morning I used my Ojon Mask ($50 for 50ml, $95 for 250ml from Adore Beauty), washed my hair with the most hydrating shampoo and conditioner I could find, then spritz in KMS California`s Silk Sheen Conditioning Detangler, followed by my Trichology Leave in conditioner… I spent one hour trimming off every visible split end I could find (I know, I have OCD!!!) and my hair feels SUPER!
I feel like I have just left the hairdressers!

Atm I`m using the GHD heat protective spray for blow drying and hair straightening and it works a treat. =)

I`m usually a Kerastase fan but recently I have been trying to get my beauty spending under control hehe so I swapped to herbal essences new long hair shampoo – the one in the red bottle and I LOVE IT!!! my hair is clean but still silky and its a breeze to comb! Even when using Kerastase my hair was a giant matted mess when I got out of the shower and I`d have to get someone else comb it out!

Love the rejuven8 the ends too – although it`s not a heat protectant…

I always have my hair trimmed on a regular basis, so I never get split ends – I straighten every day too. I would definitely recommend the Kerastase, as well as the De Lorenzo Rejuven8 The Ends (quite a bit cheaper too!)

I`ve never heard anything but raving reviews about the Kerastase Ciment Thermique Heat Activiated MIlk – if you heat style on a regular basis you`d be foolish not to use this all te time!

You would need two different products I think, one heat protectant and one to treat the split ends 🙂
