this is intersting seeing ppl prefs – and its not even realted towhere you are from or grew up, it seems.
i like life over 30deg all the time !!!
under 20 is ick to me.
so winter is always a low point in oz.
i pretty much act and look and dress al yr round liek it was summer time, thats the thing. and then i hae to make the small adjusts in the coldest few mths of the yr to make sure i dont freeze. -

Sorry girls but I LOOOOVE the winter time! I love how it gets dark early, the clothes, the food, the fire and the rain. I’m sure I was born in the wrong country as summer is the pits for me. I am definately a winter person and so far this weather is perfect! My ideal temp is about 16 degrees but colder is fine.
My mum says the same thing about winter hahahaha i love the outdoors and because of this our winters dont agree with me, but then again i hate 40 degree days also. i love anything between 20 and 30.

I love the warmth so much that I simply cannot understand people who prefer the cold. Just dont get it lol! Although sometimes when it reaches 40 degrees, I totally understand those who don’t like the heat.
i know, my mum and i are so alike when it comes to everything but when it comes to the weather she loves the cold and i love the warmer weather, i ask her mum why, what do you see in cold weather??? hahahaha i could never understand

Ugh I agree, I’m so sick of this depressing weather!! We had such beautiful sunshine over Easter but it’s nowhere to be seen now!
i think partly we can be fogetting that technically its going to be winter pretty soon. but its like avoiding that to trick the mind 😛
the last 2 days were not as bad i felt. but its still crappy.
i jsut dont want to be rainy and wet also. -

I lived in Sydney and wash never a fan of the cold. Right now I’m living in Brisbane and it’s supposed to be the sunshine state, but this year it’s freezing! Well for Queensland’s standards anyway. Last year I didn’t have to wear a think jumper or coat all year!

Im a billion % agree on this.
im NOT a winter person. but i picked melb when i moved to aus for the uni and stayed coz its such a cool city.but since im a mix of 2 tropical asian countires by my birth, and also wher i grew up…
this is a killer.i want sun and war time only all the time.. what can you do?
this is part why i tend to dres or keep a very summer wardrobe only, and it comes to bite me back at times like this…
It just seems like melbourne (or Vic, or the bottom half of oz) is riding some longer term global weather pattern that i hope goe away ASAP.
it does feel gloomy not havign sun shining, i cant stress that enough. it sort of saps away the energy by the later part of the day..
i guess we need to hope for a change or the passing thru to spring. thats certainly going to make things like my feet and all much less cold!I agree with you hun. i hate winter, the cold makes me feel soooo gloomy when im generally a happy person.
I could see how hard this weather could be on you. My husband also grew up in the tropics and this weather drives him insane. My family are all here and im a mammas girl so i cant contemplate moving to sunny QLD, and my husbands work is here, my work is here and the girls school and friends. Maybe think somewhere nice and warm when we retire in many years to come hehehe
