Skin Type & Dont go shopping with me

I had a look at these books today and i was surprised how many cheap products both ladies recommend.

The Paula book isnt up to as much as her website so that wasnt worth looking at.

Another thing i found interesting which is a very conflicting subject. Is they both recommend you dont have to moistorise if you have oily skin.

So many believe that no matter what you have you should moistorize.

Sorry i can’t spell today! LOL

The Bloom one sounds nice, I`ll have to check it out, I`m nearly out of my City Block so might try it next.

My worst reaction to a sunscreen was to Sunsense for sensitive skin with SPF30 – funny that?! Sposed to be for sensitive skin? !!
    .
One I tried lately when I got a free sample was the new Bloom one – highly recommend this one. Natalie Bloom made it with the advice of her husband who is a dermatologist – it has no nasties – and didn`t bother my sensitve skin at all! Also non-greasy and doesn`t make you shiny!

Misty1 – unfortunately with any sales assistant you have to be careful with what they`re trying to sell you. If your skin is fine without moisturiser – by all means, go without! You`ll save money if anything else! Of course you should never skip sunscreen. I don`t personally have oily skin, I only get oily tzone – but in regards to your skin overproducing oil to compensate for dry skin – my rule of thumb is, if you skin feels dry and tight after cleansing/toning – you`ve stripped your skin. You need to find cleansers/toners that leave your skin feeling soft and normal.

Ella Bache works well for me too. The worst one I`ve tried was the Shisheido one for children and sensitive skin, I had a horrible reaction to it.
I found invisible zinc to be pretty good, but it`s really thick, so I don`t think it`d work for people with oily skin.

I have problems with some sunscreen, too. I`m using Ella Bache Sunguard on the face and Natural Instinct Natural Mineral Sunblock Cream on the rest of my body.

The worst one I tried was Jurlique`s suncream. I`m very bias here as I had huge reaction to it, chocked full of chemicals – not as natural as they claim to be, I would avoid it at all cost.

I`ve heard mixed review about Invisible Zinc, perhaps it`s worth a try?

I`m sensitive to sunscreens to, so I use Clinique`s Super City Block. It`s one of the few I`ve found that doesn`t irritate me.

Maybe mineral foundation could be helpful? Thats what I use – most creamy lotions are too greasy for my skin, but I find mineral powder works wonders.

I agree Music, but being sensitive/allergic 2 most sunscreens i find this a hard 1 to ritually keep up with. Am currently trying diff. zinc based sunscreens & willl let u know how I go. Finally got a moisturiser that works 4 me again… sunscreen`s been a mystery & challenge 4 a while though!

Yup, sunscreen is a MUST for oily, non-oily and everything in between…. 🙂

I prefer to wear moisturiser, or at the very least sunscreen with my oily skin. You can have heaps of oil and no water, and then still be rough on the surface of your skin.
