I`ve used these with great success, but not to remove hair, lol! I used to shave my legs, let the skin dry thoroughly, then used them to gently buff away that layer of `snake skin` before massaging in a little moisturiser. Smoothest legs ever! But as for removing hair….oh no, ouch.

I tried these a couple of times in my teens and was dissapointed each attempt. Luckily they didnt seem to irritate my skin, but I didnt find the results to be all that effective! I`d have lovely smooth legs after doing it, then wake up in the morning with 2 day stubble!!!! Dont know how that happened.

Never even heard of them, but judging by others` comments – they sound like a real bad idea to try. Perhaps they may have been made by males – oooohh!

I`ve used them but I went over it again and again and my legs went all red 🙂

I`ve never heard this before, but i have dry skin so i don`t think it would be suited for me

I`m surprised so many people had negative results as i find these are really good! I don`t feel any discomfort when using them, it is fairly quick as long as you dont let the hair grow out too much and mosturise after. Great for a touch up after shower especially if you have missed a spot shaving though i find they only work well on the lower leg.

I bought these back in year 7 or something like that, and they always worked fine for me. NEVER EVER apply moisturiser after using them though- PAINFUL! And i only dropped a little bit when i was putting moisturiser on my hands. But yeah, for me, the hair was removed and while it did take a little longer than shaving, i didnt experience a burning sensation and i think it actually lasted a bit longer than shaving.

I have found that they`re too harsh for my skin too. I agree with Italicized, a razor is a far more effective option.

Yeah, there seems to be something of a consensus on them! My mum got some for me when I was in year 7 or something, and whilst they didn`t hurt me they certainly didn`t remove the hair either! Would never use them again – a razor is much more effective!

I too have used these, i guess its like using sandpaper on your skin to rub a layer of skin off whilst getting rid of your hair? I had negative experiences with it too… not a fan
