Shaving oil tips?

My husband has been using a shaving oil, and likes it in that it reduces irritation and redness after shaving, but he doesn’t like the way it clogs all the hair bits into his electric shaver. He is contemplating switching to an after-shave balm. Anyone got any comparisons between shaving oil and after shave balm for redness and irritation and if so, what products would you suggest?

Hey all! I’ve had recommendations from male friends singing the praise of shaving oil over traditional foams etc but the oil we purchased has little to no instructions and we’re a little hesitant to try! Any help would be appreciated… thanks! 🙂
