Serums – What is a good one?
I am wondering what is a good mid-priced serum to use at night. I have used Elizabeth Arden Intervene capsules in the past, and also Lancome Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate. I am wanting to buy a new serum, perhaps a little more mid-priced than high, and wonder if you have any suggestions of ones that you might have tried and love.

A natural skin serum to use at night is fresh lemon juice.Just apply and absorb deeply in to to your skin and wash in morning. The best formula to have softest skin.
[url=http://www.containapet.com/fence-for-dogs.htmlEEK I tried it once and it stung like mad, never use anything like this undiluted on your skin, it could react.
LOL @ the link, What do pets and dogs have to do with this though??? -

Just a quick question. At what age should I start using an serum for anti ageing?? Like the vitamin A&C melmeko suggeted. I am 27 at the end of the yr, but haven’t noticed any lines etc.. Thanks
I would start now for sure, remembering that while they also help repair existing skin concerns, they also help protect and prevent skin from future damage and slow the signs of premature ageing 🙂

For anti-ageing I personally would opt for two separate serums as the combination ones may not be all that beneficial in comparison when it comes to effective results. Vitamin C serum, which I use in the morning and a Vitamin A (retinol) serum for the evening are both antioxidant serums and have been clinically proven as the most powerful anti-ageing ingredients. My therapist said as long as I stick with these products in my skin care regime I will not need to use much else. I have done this for the last 18+ months or nearly two years now and my skin has never looked better. With these serums that I stick to religiously I only team it with a simple routine of cleanser, toner and moisturiser 🙂
do these 2 items end up being at the most expensive end of ur whole range of things you usually get for the skin care routines?
Nat, I have found that generally serums are more expensive than other skincare products. I would not do without serums anymore because I have found them to be very effective in my skincare routine. Melmeko’s advice about vitamin A and C is spot on, as usual! x
Sorry I missed your question all together Nat, Roxy was spot on with her reply though, while they definitely can be rather exy, they are worth their weight in gold, and a little goes a long way so it just lasts for ages 🙂

I loe this japanese brand called Juju Aquamoist. It’s a hyaluronic acid gel-serum. I only need 2 drops at night and its quickly absorbed without being sticky or greasy.. I have oily/combination skin.. It hydrates my skin so my skin doesn’t get oily in the morning after!

I’m 19 and have really sensitive dry skin. Everyone keeps telliing me to use rosehip oil, but my skin doesn’t like it
RockieHazel, rosehip oil doesn’t suit everyone so I wouldn’t be concerned about it. I have not found that it suits my skin either which is normal to dry and can be a bit sensitive. From what I have read, it seems to suit oilier complexions more so. x

I really like Kosmea’s Eighth Natural Wonder serum. You can use it alone after cleansing or with a moisturiser on top if your skin needs a bit more TLC. 🙂
