semi-permanent hair colour

i was just wondering what the best do it yourself hair dye is that is not permanent? I was interested in something like the loreal casting creme that lasts up to 28 washes, are there any other products like this?

    hi,
I have bleached my hair and it`s an ugly colour, (pic 1 )hair was nearly at breaking point so was told to put a semi over it as it will condition it and help it recover.

I don`t wanna go brown, but a very nice medium gold blonde or something blondish but more natural looking… casting creme seems to be the way to go, what colour do u recommend??? ideally love to be (pic 2)
I`d really love to hear your pearls of wisdom … or considering a less damaging permanent… i really just don`t wanna end up green blue ect… if all else fails I`ll shave my hair… awaiting eagerly!!!

    Bumping up this thread!

I`ve been having highlights put in my hair recently over the last year. I was becoming quite blonde. I wanted to go dark for a change, and so I ummed and ahhed about it, but I then settled on a semi-permanent dark brown with my hairdresser, as it it good for a bit of a change and you don`t have to worry about regrowth so much.

I now would like to colour my own hair, as I`m 10x more confident with using dark colours on myself, and it`s a lot cheaper. I`ve read the entire thread – is everyone still a fan of the L`Oreal Casting Creme or is there something better worth giving a try?

Hey Stay C thanks so much for the your time and effort into my question..much appreciated:)

My hair is natural, however I did put the Honey Brown casting creme gloss in a few weeks ago, I didnt love it but its ok. Im really liking the look of the Iced Chocolate which definitely wasnt there when I purchased the above and the Praline brown looks alright to. BUT I will first try the Iced Choc in a few weeks I will let this colour rinse out a bit more first.

Really thanks so much again xx

Ohhh very pretty Paza, I`d go for something with chocolate in the name as they are usually a rich, reddish brown. Is your hair coloured now or natural? It can make a big difference to the result you`re after. Some of the hairdressers might have suggestions but I`ll see what I can find.

OK here`s a couple, I really like L`Oreal Casting Creme Gloss

Hey ladies I was wondering if you could help me out with this colour. Im thinking surely one of the casting colours should match up closely to the hair colour Im trying to achieve. BTW I have medium brown or medium dark Im not 1000% sure.
Anyway this is the pic with the gorgeous colour Im after.

I just finished telling Bluebarry to remove the advertising on another thread and that is why all of the posts keep getting deleted by BH, but your right BB, Bluebarry never comes back to check the posts after the pathetic one liner comments that are getting posted everywhere. I have compained to BH on numerous occassions and they delete the posts but this person just keeps comming back everyday, don`t click on the links anyone could be a virus or anything!!!!

She adds nothing to the conversation, just racking up points and she never goes back to the thread where she has left a comment. Really annoying (agreed)

Cheers & have a good weekend

I`ve noticed BB, it`s getting annoying, hence my little gripe above. Not only are the little add-ons annoying but she never actually adds anything to the conversation, just makes some inane comment.

    =D
