Self Help Books

I need everyone’s help. I have a friend who is just fantastic. She is : really smart, has a great job, her bosses just love her, has loads of friends, her clients really love her, is immaculately groomed and dresses really well and on trend but she has ZERO self confidence. She acts like she does but she is desperately unhappy under the facade.
It concerns me as I know the consequences can be dire. Basically she feels like she is not worthy of other people be it friendship or boys to date (shes 24).
I would like to get her a nice self help book as a starting point now she has admitted she feels this way.
I am after something that helps improve self worth basically as all the books i have looked at are about improving your thinking to achieve all the things she already has……but doesn’t think she’s worthy. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Reading THE SECRET helped me with my depression – you don`t need to buy into all the hype, but just having something to read that is SO SO SO positive worked for me. Its more about positive thinking – it`s not all about thinking yourself rich or anything. And anything that helps you think more positive about yourself or your life can only be good. I went to the doctor and was told to go see a psychologist or start taking anti depressants – I had every intention of seeing the psychologist but was working out how to without taking the kids when I picked up a copy of The Secret, and as silly as it may sound – I didn`t bother making my appointments. Now when I`m feeling low I just read a little from it and get back on track.

There`s a series of books and cds by a couple called Esther and Jerry Hicks, there`s a few but i would recommend one called `The Astonishing Power of Emotions` i just downloaded it onto my ipod and have a listen every now and then or on the bus to work. It really is brain food, you can`t help but absorbing it and feeling better. Maybe you could search it on amazon and have a read of some reviews, see if it is what you are after!
    Good luck searching though!
