Hi there beauties. Was wondering on any tips on applying eye cream. Ive been putting it on under my bottom eye lid and been dotting outwards towards the hairline. Is this the best way to apply?

Hello freaky, Use your ring finger to gently pat it all around the orbital bone, including under the eye. Apparently this finger exerts the least amount of pressure, so minimises tugging and pulling of the skin

I only recently read that you should apply eye cream with your ring finger, because thats the finger that puts the least amount of pressure on the delicate skin.

I used to apply quite a bit of eye cream (Olay) under my eyes because I didnt want any lines there, but then, if you apply too much eye cream, you can get those tiny little bumps, so I apply only a little bit nowadays because I started getting those nasty bumps. 🙁

Here’s a good link from the Beauty Dept on how to apply eye cream – I’m almost 30 and didn’t realise until a few months ago that I’d been doing it wrong! Apparently I’d been making my own eyes puffy….

I have really sensitive skin and biore was fine. I was a little iffy at first too because I reacted to their other products. Tell me if the yes to cucumbers is any good!

Well I’m 19 and I recently started using eye creams. I guess it’s never too early to start using, because I think of it the same as moiturising your face. It’s especially important if you wear eye make up often because you irritate the skin, so you should replenish it. Many younger women use eye creams to make their dark circles and bags go away or to prevent future wrinkles. I know this is terrible advice, but it’s really trial an error to see which one suits you. It’s best to start with one designed for your age group. At the moment I’m using biore see the future. Other good eye creams my friends use inlcude clinique all about the eyes, the body shop ones, olay, Roc and kiehl’s. Kiehl’s is meant to be really good but a little more expensive. I hope this helps

I’ve been looking to try out an eye cream, even though i’m only 20, just because the area around my eyes gets a bit dry. I’ve been using Biore products but am trying to look for more natural alternatives, plus Biore can be a little harsh sometimes otherwise i’d try the Biore one.

I found the Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel on here and will probably try finding that in Priceline sometime soon.

Thank you so much for the advice. Im 17 but I tend to be a bit rough when it comes to the delicate eye area. I tug pull and rub when I’m trying to get my eye makeup right ): I know it’s bad and so I thought I should look into getting a cream to help because my under eye area is a bit dry sometimes. Thank you! (:
