Red Dots

I have noticed this little red bumps underneath my under eye/tops of cheek section on my face. They’re not itchy or sore and they’ve been there for awhile. They can sometimes be raised slightly. Does anyone know what this could be or suffer from something similar?

I think I used to have a couple of these on my face when I was younger, usually in the eye area although I had something similar on my hand. I still don`t know what it was, it seemed like a tiny burst blood vessel, because there was a slight redness around the little red bump.. it took months and months to go completely.

bellaboo, I know you said your bumps weren`t itchy, but have a read of this article, maybe it`s got something to do with your moisturiser clogging your pores???

Are you sure it`s not little pimples under the skin?

It could be milia, but I am unsure if milia is red, usually they`re a skincolour.

I`d test to see if it was the moisturiser by using a more simple one or just another one you have on hand and see if they go away.

Otherwise it sounds like they could be little bumps of burst blood vessels – I get those on my legs. They hang around for ages and ages and they are very small and only sometimes slightly raised. They sound similar to what you are describing as they are not itchy or sore either – just kind of hang around! I can understand you would be much more aware of them if they were on your face. Possible laser treatment could rid them. My sister has actually had a burst blood vessel on her face near her cheek/eye area removed by laser – very quick and easy.

Oh this really sounds like something in your moisturiser is causing your skin to react, what is your current product?? I suggest you stop using it asap and see if the condition goes away within a week or so, if not I also think you should start eliminating all of your skincare and even makeup products one at a time until you find the culprit. I would definately start with your moisturiser though as this is when you have especially noticed it. Good luck let us know how you get on 🙂

I`m not entirely sure when it flares up. I know when I was my face and then put my moisturiser on my face goes redish..especially around my nose area. I dont know if thats related to it.
