Stacci, I had the same problem a couple of months ago with my email account when someone hacked into it and sent the same disgusting emails to my contacts including Leanne here on BH. It was so embarrassing and the only way I found out was when Leanne was on holidays and I got an auto response that she would contact me when she got back. I was horrified and I had to go through the long drawn out process of changing my email address too.

haha. i’ve posted my email on another forum for a swap thread, mainly because people actually need to contact me and stuff but sure, why not edit that post 🙂 i don’t even have FB anymore… i kinda deleted it but now i feel like getting it again 🙂

I never share my email and my old email got hacked and it was a complete pain in the arse. Someone from my old email was emailing everyone I ever emailed spam about viagra, a ‘hot slags’ website and penis enlargments. That went down great with the head of a big Australian business. He had a little laugh but it was still unprofessional.

I agree with AJ that its safer to not directly list your email on here – many of us do share an ID or email addy when needed, (myself included ) but its better ot write it broken up into pieces or with no @ sign. just name the relevant parts and the domain (hot / yahoo / gmail etc ) after . this way it makes it harder for spam collecting types to scoop the email off the page or your name wont come up if anyone tried to google ur email ever.

But overall this is a really safe friendly forum and site, and as its clear to see.. the rarest of times is when 1 bad seed tries to make a mess, and is wiped out.
