Protecting Skin from Pool Water
I love swimming and it’s great exercise, but I hate how it always makes my skin gross, especially since most waterproof sunscreens aren’t particularly good for your face. And is I use face sunscreens, I get sunburnt.
Does anyone have a similar problem? Or is there a way to get around it, like a good waterproof face sunscreen or something I can apply after I swim to reverse the chlorine and sun damage?

I think something like a physical sun protection product like Invisible Zinc would do the trick as well, it actually sits on your skin creating a barrier between your skin and the sun so I imagine it would work well as a safeguard between your skin and the chlorine too. It is definitely water resistant, that I know, hehe

Thanks so much roxymisha! I didn’t know something like this existed either. That stuff looks like magic in a tub.
I wonder if the body shop balm would do the job

http://www.dermaswimpro.com/I had no idea these products existed till now
I have to admit that I had some of the La Gaia balm years ago as it was developed by the beautician I went to and it is uber fabulous. But just wanted you to have the general idea. The dermaswim looks great so that might be worth trying. If you do get it please let us know as it would be worthwhile getting your views. x
Out of interest Roxymisha, How long did the La Gaia balm last?
Absolutely ages. A little goes a long way. I guess it depends whether you use it on your whole body or just parts that are dry. I tended to use it mainly on my feet, legs, arms and hands. The other nice thing about it is that if you warm it up (just put some in an oil burner) it makes a beautiful massage oil.

My skin looks ugly when I get in the pools or swimming at the beach!
Feels flaky, patchy, dull and dry!
Ive been avoiding the pool and beach atm (and winter is an excuse too lol)
I found Avene Thermal Water Spray helps afterwards but havent come across any products to protect skin against chlorine and harshness of the water/weather.. -

Does anyone have a similar problem? Or is there a way to get around it, like a good waterproof face sunscreen or something I can apply after I swim to reverse the chlorine and sun damage?I have been told by a beautician whom I respect for her advice that the best thing is to apply a balm to your skin (face and body) before swimming. That provides a barrier so that it protects your skin from chlorine. Worth giving it a try. x
Here is a link to the type of product I am referring to. Not suggesting you buy it because it is expensive but you will have an idea of the type of ingredients to look for in a good balm:
