Pronouncing Brand Names!

I always assumed Bourjois was pronounced the same as “”bourgeois””, ie. “”booh – shwah””.

Natio: I`m surprised at everyone saying “”Nay-tee-oh””, “”Nate-io””. I`ve always said “”naysh-yoe””.

Maybe I should just stick to Le-Real & May-bel-lyne makeup & my By-orr cleanser?

Just discovered your Post. What an interesting topic. Would be great if BH would add a section on a “”How to Pronounce……”” in each of their Newsletters. I pronounce Natio as “”nah-ti-o”” and no shop assistant has corrected me yet. An interesting thought though, how DO you pronounce it!!!! Hmmm.

I would be inclined to pronounce `bourjois` with a longer vowel at the start – i.e. boo(r)-jwah. (I put the `r` in brackets because it`s kind of half there, you know? To differentiate between it and `boo`, without actually pronouncing it). Life would be so much easier if we all used the international phonetic alphabet!

And l`Occitane – I think it would be `lohki-tahn`. I`m not sure why there would be any `x` or `s` sounds in there, from my (basic) understanding of french.

I just say””that one”” and point. as long as you can afford it, who cares how you pronounce it.
