Pressie for new mum

One of my gf’s just had a baby, and i want to get her a gift for her, as I imagine most gifts are for the baby. So I thought some of you yummy mummy’s out there might have some suggestions on what i could get her (without breaking the bank).
What made you feel special after you had your babies?

i agree with the others. a basket of goodies such as body creams, body washes, candles, oils, magazines, makeup etc would be ideal

magazines, slippers, scented candles, body creams and butters are all great, bio oil is also another good one, it can help reduce stretch marks. I like to also give the new mother a basket with these goodies preferbly in her favourite colour/scented theme. I think vouchers for massage or other beauty treatments are a great idea.

hi girls, i found my receipt – check them online at “”fertile ground””:http://www.fertileground.com.au. the address is 372-376 albert st, east melbourne. PS: bear in mind that your friend will have to get there, which might not be convenient when heavily preg/postnatal! Bo, i went when i was 9 months preggy (it felt like 2 years by then) and they sort of prop you on all these special shaped cushions, so you feel like you`re floating. it was an hour without the weight of carrying the baby, i would have paid for that alone!

  • I think it`s in East Melbourne pink sapphire. It does sound wonderful Whiterabbit11. I wish I had of got something like that for myself when I was pregnant. By the end of my pregnancy I was so sore and swollen I think I would of loved this. I think I`d even treat myself to a pampering massage. A gift to myself 🙂

Thanks ladies, you have given me some wonderful suggestions!

White Rabbit I like the idea of a massage, where in melbourne is fertile ground?

oh definitely pampering! if you can stretch to it, or perhaps if you get another friend to chip in with you, a massage is ideal. there`s a place called fertile ground here in melbourne which does the most AMAZING preggie massage, and post-preg massage too! there might be similar places in other states. they are fully worth the money, my friend and i both went for a couple during and after pregnancy. really takes away those aches and pains, and helps you feel like yourself again. they also come to your house if you can`t make it there, and they claim to be able to massage even if you have to stop to breast feed (i left the kid at home).

I back the pampering advise 100% you need as much as you can get, lol.

  • something pampering would be the way to go and you don`t have to break the bank. Perhaps you could put together a little hamper with some goodies including body lotions, bath salts, hand creams, etc. I`m sure your gf will love what you get pink sapphire 🙂
