Poppy King is Back

I heard today that Poppy King is back in the lipstick arena again. Poppy has bounced back after going into receivership 10 years ago at the age of 23. Her company was turning over $6 million a year. I had a look at some of her new products and apparently they are still matte but not as drying as they were 10 years ago. I used to love these lippy’s, I hope all goes well. Has anybody tried them yet?

I`ve got one of the sheer lipsticks and the oxymoron glosses and love them both.

I just had a look at it then – a very different style to the Poppy style that was her previous business

Is poppy king going to be under the same brade name or are they going to change names?

Angelee, check out the kit website, cause Poppy King is doing in store appearances where she`ll pick the right lipstick colour for you, so maybe you could go and do that. But, if you want to stick to nude colours, there were some really pretty ones, especially in the saints range.

The oxymoron glosses seem interesting. I`ll definitely be giving those a try when I get my hands on them. Maybe the lipsticks as well… though I`m not used to using any colour other than nudes on my lips. I`ll have to be daring and try some nice berry/pink/red colours. I`m asain with a tanned complexion so I`m not too sure what colours would suit me.
The packaging of the products are really beautiful – Art Nouveau style, my favourite!

I was so excited about this. I have an oxymoron gloss and saint lipstick and I love them, they`re even nicer than the original ones were.
The oxymoron gloss is a matte gloss. Sounds really strange, but it works well. It feels like a gloss, but is matte, so lasts well. And the saint lipstick is a sheer lipstick, just like they used to be, but a little less waxy, and it lasts a long time too.

good on her. i felt really sorry for her when that all happened. she seems like a pretty smart cookie but was maybe a little young and badly advised before (?). can`t wait to see her new range.
