Organic or Chemical

Now a days all or most products are Not tested on animals, but where does the environment come into it?
So my question is… Do you prefer body care products that have been made from organic plants and properties or do you prefer body care products that have been made in a lab.

i prefer organic because organic is more gentle on your skin, and doesnt dry or irritate your skin like chemicals do,

    Here’s also a natural exfloliant:

    Natural Lemon Skin Exfoliant:

1/2 to 2/3 cup granulated sugar
    Juice of 1 lemon

Mix sugar and lemon juice to form a paste.
While showering invigorate your skin with the paste.
    Then wash off.

also, use the inside of the lemon rind to rub heels and elbows.

I am getting into more natural and certified organic skincare. The more I read about how much crap is in a product and how many companies still animal test, the more upset it makes me.

Me skin is looking much better, no more acne and no more blemishes =D

No problem, the one thing I have discovered though with the nail polishes anyway, you have to be prepared to pay pretty much the same price that you would pay for the top shelf, high end brands, but I was paying that anyway for the OPI’s etc anyway so I wouldn’t mind paying it for natural polishes if it helps my nails from getting so dry and brittle all the time 🙂
Also the thing that stops me using all natural/organic products permanently is the price factor, I have found that most genuine brands are much more expensive than your average brand, especially for cosmetics (Inika for example, while I love their makeup it is just so exy for me)

I agree with some PP, I don’t really think about it, I use the products that I do, and if they work then I keep using them. Don’t shoot me!

    i use Organic whenever possible.

    at the moment i have,
body lotion ( and face )
    sunscreen
    lip balm,
    deoderant,
    perfume oil

and i just got some samples for foundation. i’ll see how that goes.

it is more expensive buying organic, but i think its worth it in the end.
i feel guilty smothering myself in chemicals, especially when its my face.
and the natural companies obviously are kinder to the environment and wouldnt test on animals, or even have the need to.

plus every ingredient you can pronounce and know exactly what it is.
    xoxo

( also, really excited to hear about natural nail polish !! )

hey, I am happy to see that there are other people out their that feel the same as myself (even though my eyeshadow and eyeliner i buy from a very populer brand). It’s true you can’t always find the right organic product to suit your skin type, or a organic product which is in a price range to suit your budget. How ever i do like The Organic Soap Company, as they are organic, do not test on animals, and are 100% Austalian owned and made. It may cost 3.95 for a bar of soap, however I’m only buying a bar once a month sometimes less. I also look around around to find products that are NOT tested on animals, and products that help support animals and the environment.

I also like to make my own soaps, shampoos/conditioners, gels, etc. As i know that I am recycling products (bottles and containers), I am using plants I have grown myself (esspecially Lavender), I am not testing on animals, and when i make alot I also know I am safing money. And you can store it knowing that when you run out you always have more.

However when finding the right organic product for yourself and at the price that suits your budget, I think you just need to take a chance. Most products allow you to do a patch test (highly reccomend), but dont ignore the cheap organic brands ither cos sometimes they are the best quality and better quality, and may work better wonders for your skin then you thought.

Thanks though for your imput, and thankyou Melmeko, for showing me brands of nail polish. I will definately look into it.

Have a great night and talk again soon.
