Night creams and eye creams?

Hey beauties, I’ve decided to kick up my skin routine and start using a night cream and eye cream. The problem is which ones!? I have tried Palmer’s Night Renewal Cream, and while my skin felt lovely the next day, my face was also swollen… Especially around my eyes, even though I didn’t use it there. I’ve had a similar reaction to a Vit E cream before, so I’d like to stay away from any products mentioning great quantities of Vit E. Some is usually ok though.

Can anyone recommend anything from Priceline? Or anywhere, as long as it’s not too expensive.

I bought the moogoo skinmilk 🙂 My skin can’t take anything too rich, so I thought I’d try this before going for full cream. So far, I love it! I also got a moogoo lipbalm, and I’m soooooo happy! A few months ago, the skin around my mouth started to really freak out whenever I used my lipbalm (strawberry chapstick, some one I’ve been using for years). It would go red, and then start flaking off 🙁 I’ve tried others like blistex, and even l’occitane gave the same result! This moogoo one is working like a charm though, so happy!

I went out and bought U Little Beauty night cream after this and it’s working amazingly so far. My sensitive skin didn’t react to it and when I woke up my skin felt smooth and well hydrated

Currently I am using Innoxa Sensitive Night Cream and Eye Cream.
I mix the night cream with the Clean and Clean oil free moisturiser. I find the night cream by itself a little to greasy. But mixing it with my fave face moituriser works perfectly.
The eye cream is a little sticky, but I can see the difference.

I suppose my problem with asking a professional, is that I always feel like they’re just trying to push their products on me. It’s hard to know if they’re genuine or not!

    That’s true.

I guess the best bet would really be to have a professional consultation and have your skin assessed and the therapist will recommend products that are suited to your age and skin concerns. The biggest mistake so many people make is self assessing and selecting professional skin care products to use and finding later that they are not making the mark. However a qualified therapist is always fully trained with the professional brands they work with and these products are actually recommended to be on the advice of your skin care professional only. Too many short cuts can just make matters worse 🙁

Spunx, you are so right about using the wrong creams on young skin. When I was in my 20s I had a wonderful beautician who warned me not to ‘overfeed’ my skin. It is okay to use a heavier eye cream at night if you have dehydrated skin around the eye area but it is best to use a lighter, preferably gel during the day for the eyes. Still need to be wary of some organic creams that can be too heavy for young skin. x

Great term – overfeeding skin. Something all us beauty junkies should be aware of!

Spunx, glad you like the term. It is in my repertoire and have not forgotten it after so many years, lol. x

Wow, I’m glad I started this thread! 🙂
Where do you buy MooGoo? My sister in law mentioned it a while ago too, so I wouldn’t mind giving it a go too.

If you go on the MooGoo website there is a section where you can find stockists in your state 🙂 They seem to mainly be in health stores & pharmacies.
