New Vaseline

Has anyone tried the new vaseline body moisturiser – Is it similar to the old version? I use to use their dry skin mosituriser a few years ago and was thinking about going back to it (for budget reasons) – I don’t like heavy fragranced lotions so just wondering how this one staks up

I really like the Vaseline lotion with the green bottle, its called like Vaseline instensive care or something. It has aloe-vera and it doesnt really smell and is really good. I like it more than the one in the yellow bottle, sometimes it kind of stings my skin. Also if you want an alternative Olay have really good moisturizer. My mum has really sensitive skin and stuff and she used it and it moisturizes without causing harm and it doesnt have a fragrance

Not sure about TBS – haven`t actually got one at home atm!

I wouldn`t stress – just use it up! It`s my personal preference to try not to use mineral oil in any of my products – and I just happened to find a cheap body lotion that I love that doesn`t have it- so I`m happy!

I rarely use it, only about twice since I have had it earlier this year, and once was just on my feet, lol, I don`t use a body lotion very much and when I do I have been using the body butter from TBS, does that have mineral oil in it btw, lol. I always shave using sorbolene, tried with baby oil once but I didn`t like it. Sorbolene can be used as a body was etc but I am not sure about the vaseline, I guess it couldn`t hurt to give it a try, otherwise it will probably just be another one for my feet, LOL.

Not sure – I`ve never shaved with a moisturiser before? I guess it would work the same?

You can still use your moisturiser if you want – it`s personal choice 🙂

Ok I get it, so I guess I could in fact use the Vaseline Body Cream just as I would use my Sorbelene when I shave my legs, do you think that would work??

Yeah but it gets washed off again mel – leaving it on your body all day or whatev is the problem.

It was in a shaving thread when I asked what do you use unwanted baby oil for and it was mentioned to use on your body????

Body oils are different – baby oil – ie Johnson`s baby oil – is (I think) pure mineral oil? Not good. It`s not actually doing anything for your skin – other than putting a barrier on top of it, clogging the skin, and not letting it breathe. I don`t know what thread you`re talking about mel?

Yep baby oil`s meant to be good and Neutrogena has a new body oil out too, think it`s sesame. If you want an oil then Nutrimetics do the most fabulous smelling oil in a spray can that smells like apricot and lime but I`d only buy it out of the brochure when it`s on special. http://www.nutrimetics.com.au/portal/bodycare/moisturise/1813.html
